2014 Cavendish Alumni Open Day

The 2014 Cavendish Alumni Open Day will be held on Friday 26th September 2014 from 2pm until 5.00pm.

Event Title: The Annus Mirabilis of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Cosmology and High Energy Physics

Location: The Sackler Lecture Theatre, Institute of Astronomy, Kavli Institute for Cosmology, and Battcock Centre for Experimental Astrophysics, all located on Madingley Road.

Description of Event: The great developments in Particle Physics and Astronomy – the Higgs boson, the Planck mission, the polarisation of the CMB – will be described.  The event will include lectures, exhibits and a visit to the new Battcock Centre for Experimental Astrophysics.

Maximum Capacity: 100 - booking required.
