Innovation...
Innovation is about the application of new ideas, discoveries and inventions. At the University of Cambridge, the recipe for success has been ingenuity and creativity, alongside the fundamental research that underpins these ideas, and combined with the constant exchange of ideas between academics and companies, governments and NGOs.
The "Cambridge Phenomenon" is a phrase internationally recognised which refers to the explosion of technology, life sciences and service companies in and around Cambridge. In 2010, we celebrated 50 years of the Cambridge Phenomenon; during this time we have seen it extend into the creative, educational and development sectors whilst still retaining a strong tradition of interaction with our academics across a myriad of disciplines. We are proud of the Cambridge cluster within which the University sits, our role within it and the contribution it has made - and continues to make - to society and the economy nationally and globally.”
