The U.K.'s first-ever Friday No. 1s have been confirmed by the Official Charts Company, to coincide with the launch of the simultaneous international release initiative, New Music Fridays. English DJ David Zowie climbed from No. 52 to the top of the singles chart with "House Every Weekend" (Positiva/EMI/ Universal); Ed Sheeran's X (Asylum/Warner Music) improved 5-1 to start a fourth separate stint atop the album chart, and its 12th week at No. 1.
