News

  The Maxwell Centre - due to open in Autumn 2015

The ground has been broken for construction of the Maxwell Centre, a new gateway for industry-academia interactions within Physical Sciences, which will be based at the Cavendish Laboratory. See University announcement here. 

 

Horizon 2020 opportunities for Cavendish Lab:


  • past event: "ERC and FET: Horizon 2020 funding schemes for Physicists" by Renata Schaeffer (European Policy Manager) and Bethan Jones (ERC Officer). Dr Mete Atature, earlier round ERC grant holder will talk about his personal experience with EC funding. 8 May 2014, 3pm-5pm, Small Lecture Theatre. More about Future and Emerging Technologies scheme (FET): links to slides from the KTN-organised event, 8 July 2014 London, including a helpful overview of the scheme given by the National Contact Point and the EC representative, a project example and practicalities to keep in mind.
