We need nuclear to reduce reliance on imports from oil companies. Also nuclear is good for smoothing out the pikes in wind power, giving a more stable supply.
Energy diversity is best. That way we don't rely on one source of power.
Wind power will in time be shown to be the biggest confidence tricks on the population. It is simply not reliable enough nor scaleable enough to be of pracrtical use on its own without back up power sources, nuclear, oil,...n.
The only people winning out of this sham gn are those politicians attending endless energy summits in exotic places and those getting huge subsidies to install turbines.
