About the WDN Test Suite

The UNL Web Developer Network maintains this suite of online tests to provide web developers with a one-stop shop for conformance and compliance testing with W3C standards for coding languages and Section 508/WCAG standards for accessibility. To access the test results, use the tabs below. Currently checking page at:

NOTE: This HTML validation test is known to generate a character encoding mismatch warning on some servers. If you see that warning but no errors, you've done as much as you can do.

NOTE: This test runs machine tests for accessibility checkpoints based on Section 508 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. No automated testing tool can completely test for accessibility. Please consider, for instance, whether your alt tags and labels are actually meaningful to a non-sighted user. This may involve testing with non-sighted users.

NOTE: This test is known to generate errors on browser-specific (-webkit, -moz) prefixes. These prefixes are in fact the recommended method for supporting 'experimental' attributes in CSS.

NOTE: This test reviews any links to make sure they're working. Broken links need to be repaired or removed.
