Aviation Minister Accompanies Arab Sheikh to Buroa

TNG Arsenal in Mogadishu "Looted"
BBC Monitoring Service - Arms and ammunition belonging to the TNG (Transitional National Government) have been looted from a warehouse by a group of gunmen guarding it at Damaanyo, Mogadishu.�
Despite TNG Army Commander Gen Isma'il Qasim Naji's arrival on the scene shortly after the theft, efforts to recover the large quantities of weapons, which consisted of light arms and an assortment of ammunition, were unsuccessful.�
Although pilfered government arms have on many occasions in the recent past been seen being sold in markets, this is the first time that such a huge quantity of arms and ammunition has been blatantly looted.�

Why the Deadlock at Eldoret?
As happened at all the reconciliation conferences previously-held on Somalia, the current Eldoret talks have entered the usual impasse whereby attending delegates, in complete oblivion to the imperative issue of restoring peace to their country, squabbled over how to share power amongst themselves. The ever-feuding Mudug politicians attending Eldoret have also proved themselves once again as being one of the main stumbling blocks standing in the way of achieving genuine peace and reconciliation in Somalia.
