G'psgolox
Homecoming a huge success
On behalf of Chief G'psgolox (Dan Paul Sr.), the Totem Pole Committee and Na na kila Institute, a heartfelt thank you to the Hemaas, Musmugeelth and the entire Haisla Nation for helping us host such an inspirational and memorable homecoming of the G'psgolox Totem Pole after 77 years! The weekend was such a success, we have been asked to host an annual celebration, and we (Totem Committee and Na na kila) are definitely looking forward to next year's event already!
Celebrating and highlighting our culture with our Hemaas and Musmugeelth, and witnessing our adults, youth and children in celebrating through dance and song was amazing and inspiring, as it confirmed our belief that our culture is very much alive and well. The Totem Committee in its 15 years of hard work and commitment is commended for making this dream a reality... from our ancestors to our children.
