Citation Superstars
David Lane and Philip Cohen were named by the Institute for Scientific Information as the 2nd and 3rd most highly cited, UK-based, scientists of the 1990s, respectively. David Lane was the world's 7th most highly cited scientist from 1990-1997.
Philip Cohen, David Lane and Peter Downes were named as the 6th, 7th and 14th most highly cited UK-based scientists over the period 1980-1999.
John Raven has been recognised as a world leader after The Institute for Scientific Information identified him as one of only 8 UK plant and animal science researchers, from a total of 108 worldwide, who are continually quoted by other scientists. This puts John in the top 1% of scientists in his field.
