4 tablespoons of Roquefort cheese 2 tablespoons of butter 1/2 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of pepper Mayonnaise Gherkins, thinly sliced Celery, minced Pimento strips

Cream the cheese and butter together. Add salt and pepper. Spread on toasted bread. Cover with celery mixed with a little mayonnaise. Garnish with sliced gherkins and a cross made of pimento strips.
