Welcome to the TBCTA website
Through USAID support, TBCTA is enhancing the political commitment and the ability of national health programs to have an impact on the global burden of Tuberculosis. To accomplish this, we provide state-of-the-art, technically sound, context-appropriate and cost-effective approaches for preventing TB and drug resistance in high-incidence countries.
TBCTA provides consultation and technical assistance to USAID’s Field missions, Global and Regional Bureaus, as well as to public and private Stop TB Partnership partners in high-burden and other countries so they can improve the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of TB programs and interventions.
Good News for TBCTA and Global TB Control!
On October 3, 2005 the KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, as lead partner of TBCTA, signed a cooperative agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for the five year project, TB CAP (Tuberculosis Control Assistance Project.).
TBCTA has also expanded with three distinguished partners: Family Health International will bring expertise in HIV/AIDS to address TB/HIV issues; Management Sciences for Health will provide support with leadership and management, laboratory networks, health systems strengthening, and drug management; the Japan Anti Tuberculosis Association will support TBCTA through broad technical assistance, training, and laboratory strengthening, especially in South and East Asia.
