Texas A&M's offensive line is elite, and the stats prove it
Texas A&M's offensive line deserves a ton of credit for the Aggies' 7-0 record and 4-0 start in SEC play, and through all seven games, this veteran group has only allowed seven sacks, while starting quarterback Marcel Reed is on his way to a career year, already throwing for 1,770 yards, 15 touchdowns, and just four interceptions, while rushing for 241 yards and five touchdowns.
Throughout the offseason, this unit, aided by the return of all five 2024 starters, was a primary talking point concerning how good Texas A&M's offense could be, knowing that the combined size and experience at tackle, guard, and center would lead to an improved passing game, and one of the better rushing attacks, aided by a deep running back room.
So far, Texas A&M's offense is ranked in the top 20 nationally, 37th in passing, and 34th in rushing, and in four games this season, including Saturday's win over Arkansas, Texas A&M has rushed for over 200 yards, producing 217 and three touchdowns against the Razorbacks.
Thanks to TexAgs analyst Luke Evangelist for providing the quick stats, Texas A&M's offensive line has only allowed 19 tackles for loss, which is 3rd least nationally. The O-line has continued to keep Marcel Reed clean in SEC play, and has not allowed a sack in the last two games against Florida and Arkansas.
From left to right, left tackle Trey Zuhn, left guard Chase Bisontis, center Mark Nabou, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, and right tackle Dametreous Crownover are all considered future NFL players. Coupled with senior rotational tackle Reuben Fatheree's impressive play, it's no wonder this group has been playing at an elite level.
