  • Special:ActiveUsers should list all contributors who made at least 1 edit in the past 30 days, while Qainiii made numerous edits less than 14 days ago.

What happens?:

What should have happened instead?:

The list of active user in 11 December 2024 should list Qainiii (and who knows who else) among the list of active contributors. Or is there another explanation why this is not a bug, but instead a feature?

The Madurese Wikipedia & Wiktionary contributors notified me about this bug. They often use the ActiveUsers special page for their community activities, and noted some discrepancies in the list as mentioned above. Bug occured in Madurese Wikipedia and Wiktionary. Example above from Madurese Wiktionary.

Special:ActiveUsers is only updated every couple of days. For example, right now it says: "You are viewing a cached version of this page, which can be up to 9 hours, 36 minutes and 52 seconds old."

Qainiii now appears in the list. I don't know they weren't listed when you filed this, and I'm sorry this affected the community activities.

It's normal for the list to be a few days out-of-date, so it's possible everything was functioning correctly. It could have also been some bug, but now that the list has been updated, it's not really practical to investigate this.

I'll close this task for now, as there's nothing we can do about it, but if you see this problem again, and the message above the list says it's not too outdated to include the user's recent edits, please reopen it. If you do, I should see this in time to investigate the problem, since I'm subscribed to the task now.
