Press release on the exchange of greetings between the foreign ministers of Russia and Bolivia on the 125th anniversary of bilateral relations

On August 9, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Rogelio Mayta Mayta exchanged messages on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The ministers noted the years-old traditions of friendship and solidarity binding the two peoples and states. They expressed the intention to continue an active political dialogue and strengthen the foundation of their strategic partnership. They also confirmed the shared desire to consistently intensify multifaceted bilateral collaboration in areas of mutual interest and promote cultural and business contacts.

The ministers underscored the two countries’ similar approaches to the future of international relations as well as their commitment to the primacy of international law and to upholding the principles of equality and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states.
