Dear Civil Society Colleagues,
The Civil Society Unit in the Department of Global Communications (DGC) has secured a very limited number of tickets for civil society representatives of organizations associated with DGC to attend the General Debate of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. This year the process to request these tickets is different, therefore, please read carefully the instructions below.
Tickets may be requested for the following sessions:
Tuesday, 23 September 2025 AM Session or PM Session
Wednesday, 24 September 2025 AM Session or PM Session
Thursday, 25 September 2025 AM Session or PM Session
Friday, 26 September 2025 AM Session or PM Session
Saturday, 27 September 2025 AM Session or PM Session
Monday, 29 September 2025 AM Session
The preliminary schedule of speakers (Member States) is here. Please note that the order of speakers may change at any time. For the most up-to-date list, please check the UN Journal, where updated schedules will be posted starting Monday, 22 September 2025.
Please note:
- Given the very limited number of tickets, each DGC-associated civil society organization is eligible to request one (1) ticket for one (1) session per day.
- Tickets will be distributed in person, at the DGC Civil Society Resource Centre (801 First Ave, UNITAR Building, 2nd floor) on the first-come-first-serve basis on the following days:
- Wednesday, 17 September 2025 from 11am to 3pm ET
- Thursday, 18 September 2025 from 11am to 3pm ET
- To request a ticket and access the UNHQ in New York, you must be in possession of a valid UN Grounds Pass (not expired) issued by DGC.
- Information on the distribution of tickets for ECOSOC badge holders is available on DESA’s website.
- Important: As previously informed and posted on our website, and in line with UNDSS policy on the issuance of grounds passes, DGC is not processing new grounds passes until 6 October 2025.
- Please understand that given the limited number of tickets, we will not be able to accommodate all requests for tickets.
