BMC Personalized Medicine is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of personalized approaches to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. The journal welcomes research exploring how genetic, molecular, environmental, digital, and lifestyle factors inform individualized healthcare, including areas such as patient stratification, biomarker discovery, pharmacogenomics, and clinical implementation.

  • The journal welcomes both foundational and applied research, from preclinical studies to real-world implementation.
  • Encourages interdisciplinary contributions from genomics, bioinformatics, pharmacology, epidemiology, and clinical sciences to support innovation in personalized medicine.
  • Aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), by promoting equitable, individualized care strategies.
