Overview
Laboratory Animal Research encourages submissions of innovative methods and techniques that improve and expand the use of model organisms in the lab, and research that deepens our basic understanding of model organisms and the opportunities/challenges for modelling human health and disease.
In addition, Laboratory Animal Research also has efforts to provide expert opinions on a range of topics through reviews and perspectives, as well as important news in industry, policy and regulatory matters impacting basic and preclinical research.

Laboratory Animal Research (LAR) is the official journal of KALAS.
KALAS sponsors full amount of APC for all the articles accepted for publication so that the authors do not need to pay. -
Legacy Contents
Laboratory Animal Research (LAR) was founded in 1985 as the official journal of The Korean Association for Laboratory Animal Science (KALAS). In 2019 it started publishing contents in fully open access format.
This website now hosts the articles published after 2015. The legacy contents published in 2010-2014 are available at KoreaMed Synapse.
