How to search and browse for securities on M1
Web
Log in to your M1 account.
Select Research Tab.
Select either Stocks, Funds or Crypto.
Use the search bar to enter a ticker symbol or company name.
Click filters to sort by sector, security type (stock or ETF), or other criteria.
Click the security name for details and to add it to a Pie.
Mobile
Open the M1 app and log in.
Select the Invest Tab
Tap the menu icon (top-left)
Select the Research drop-down
Tap either Stocks, Funds or Crypto
Enter a ticker symbol or company name.
Tap the result for more information and to add it to a Pie.
Over-the-Counter (OTC) securities
M1 does not support buying OTC securities (not listed on NYSE/NASDAQ). If you currently hold OTC securities from a prior transfer or event, you may only sell or liquidate these positions on M1.

Requesting a new security
If you wish to see a security added to M1:
Logged in on Web:
Click Help in the lower left corner.
Type “Request a security” in the Messenger.
Logged in on Mobile:
Go to account settings.
Tap Client Support, then type “request a security.”
If the security is approved, it may be available within 5 business days. Not all requests can be honored if the security doesn’t meet M1’s listing requirements.
Brokerage accounts on the M1 platform are either fully disclosed to APEX Clearing or cleared through M1 Finance LLC. Please look at your account statement to determine how your account is cleared.
