When I first envisioned Oh My OpenCode and decided to release it, here was my thought process:

There aren't a decent general coding agent harness. Such a setup needs to:

  • Be free of cost concerns.
  • Require no tedious configuration.
  • Just work, and work well.
  • Allow existing power users to switch over immediately.
  • Solve "general" problems (depending on how you define them), such as preventing excessive comments or overly defensive code.
  • Remain easily extensible and customizable.
  • And since contributing directly to a massive project like OpenCode takes time, let's approach this as a plugin.

I released 1.0.0 today, which means those initial ideas that I had is all implemented on here.

If my thoughts were right, you shouldn't feel the need to go back to Claude Code or other agents, unless it’s strictly a matter of personal preference.
If you do find yourself switching back, it implies that you felt something was lacking or inconvenient. Please share those thoughts here. To be honest, I just want a better setup for myself.

As an LLM Agent enthusiast, I am curious to know what backgrounds people are migrating from, what work you are doing with Oh My OpenCode, and specifically where you feel it falls short or why you might feel other tools are superior.

I will implement that right here.
