This tracking issue will help us break down the work for this block and suggest enhancements and updates that we deem necessary to reach to the point to stabilize it.

• Handling Various Use Cases Breadcrumbs Block: Handling Various Use Cases #72498
• Implement a way (UI setting, PHP filter, etc..) for users to set their preferred main taxonomy and term per post type. This is needed to have control over the breadcrumbs trail in case a post has multiple taxonomies and/or terms assigned.
• Some settings are template related and a bit more advanced in order to handle the case of adding the block once in a header and set it for the whole site. One would be to show on homepage and the other is about the case of a hierarchical post type with taxonomies (the breadcrumbs can either reflect its post hierarchy (default) or the hierarchy of its assigned taxonomy terms). We'll have a first iteration that adds the latter under advanced panel, but we might want to display them somehow differently (example Modal, etc..).
• Add new settings like a home icon or show last breadcrumb etc..
