Hi all.
Ok, I admit 616MB is quite large for a text file. But I thought I had opened larger ones than this in the past. When I try to open this one I'm getting "The xxx file is too large for Notepad. Use another editor to edit the file.".
I'm pretty sure there's no garbage in the file which might upset Notepad, and it can't be a case of too many lines or similar, as it complains almost instantly.
So, can anyone point me to any info about specific limits? I tried searching MSDN without any luck (unless the limit is still 64KB), and searching the web (as is often the case) returned too many entries and I can't spend all day sitting around reading through them.
Hm... actually, I thought it was just limited by available RAM these days. But I've got at least 1½GB available, so even if it's stupidly using Unicode, shouldn't it still fit?
