Intersputnik is an international intergovernmental organization that brings together countries from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America.
In accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations (UN), the Agreement of 15 November 1971 on the Establishment of the Intersputnik International System and Organization of Space Communications was registered with the UN Secretariat on 27 March 1973 under No. 12343.

Geneva hosted the 2nd World Forum of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on Space Sustainability – Space Sustainability Forum 2025 – on 7-8 October 2025.

Space explorers envision that the technology introduced should liberate humanity from mundane tasks, preventing global challenges and fostering personal development.
