For the second week in a row, Terror Squad’s “Lean Back” tops Billboard’s Hot 100. The East Coast rap act’s latest single is also No. 1 on the Hot Rap Tracks, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Rhythmic Top 40 charts.
Despite the continued strong performance of the single, Terror Squad’s sophomore album, “True Story” (Universal), tumbles 14-31 on The Billboard 200. The set bowed two weeks ago at No. 7 and has sold 174,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Rising 3-2 on the Hot 100, Lil’ Flip’s “Sunshine” featuring Lea is looking like a serious contender for the crown. It is also on the tail of “Lean Back” on Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks tally, where the track advances 3-2.
Ciara’s “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo makes a 6-3 Hot 100 jump this week, while former chart-topper “Slow Motion” by Juvenile drops two slots to No. 4. After a two-week stint in the fourth slot, Kevin Lyttle’s “Turn Me On” falls one spot to No. 5 and Christina Milian’s “Dip It Low” slips one position to No. 6.
Nelly’s “My Place” featuring Jaheim makes a 9-7 jump and is the Hot 100’s greatest airplay gainer. The song makes an 11-8 leap on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
Usher’s “Confessions Part II” falls 7-8, while Ashlee Simpson’s “Pieces of Me” makes it in to the top tier of the Hot 100 with a 13-9 move. Closing out the top 10 is Nina Sky’s “Move Ya Body” featuring Jabba, which drops 8-10.
Ryan Cabrera owns the chart’s fastest-growing track at retail with his debut single “On the Way Down,” which makes a 52-44 gain.
Kelly Clarkson is back on the Hot 100 with the chart’s top debut, “Breakaway,” at No. 60. The song is the first single from Walt Disney’s “The Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement” soundtrack.
Also debuting this week are Toby Keith’s “Stays in Mexico” (No. 61), Mase’s “Breathe, Stretch, Shake” featuring P. Diddy (No. 64), Juvenile, Wacko & Skip’s “Nolia Clap” (No. 67), Brooks & Dunn’s “That’s What It’s All About” (No. 76), Brandy’s “Who is She 2 U” (No. 85), N.O.R.E., GemStar, Big Mato, Nina Sky & Tego Calderon’s “Oye Mi Canto” (No. 91) and Lenny Kravitz’s “Storm” featuring Jay-Z (No. 98).
Linkin Park grabs its fifth consecutive chart-topper as “Breaking the Habit” ascends to No. 1 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart. Linkin Park has spent 32 weeks on top of the Modern tally — the second-highest total in the chart’s history — with six career No. 1 titles.
Though Three Days Grace’s “Just Like You” falls to No. 2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart, it holds onto its lead on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks list for the second week in a row.
On Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” begins a sixth week on top.
