“My Boo” is No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay charts for a fifth week in a row. The reign of the duet by Usher and Alicia Keys hasn’t been easy, holding Snoop Dogg’s “Drop it Like it’s Hot” featuring Pharrell to No. 2 on the Hot 100 tallies for three weeks as the cut has knocked “Boo” off the top of several other Billboard charts.
“Drop it Like it’s Hot” is No. 1 for a second week on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay list and notches a third week atop the Hot Rap Tracks and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks charts. The cut, from Snoop’s just released “R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece” (Doggy Style/Geffen/Star Trax), also takes over the top slot of Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay list this week.
Also mounting a considerable challenge is Destiny‘s Child’s “Lose My Breath,” which is No. 3 on the Hot 100 for a second week. The cut also holds onto the top spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales and Hot 100 Singles Sales charts for a second week.
Nelly’s “Over and Over” featuring Tim McGraw is No. 4 on the Hot 100 for a second week while Ja Rule’s “Wonderful” featuring R. Kelly and Ashanti jumps 9-5. Ciara’s “Goodies” featuring Petey Pablo drops 5-6 as Trick Daddy’s “Let’s Go” featuring Lil Jon and Twista rises one spot to No. 7 and Kelly Clarkson’s “Breakaway” slides 6-8.
Mario has the chart’s fastest growing track at radio this week with “Let Me Love You,” which rockets forward with a 15-9 jump. Fabolous’ “Breathe” is the Hot 100’s fastest growing track at retail and makes an 11-10 move to round out the top tier.
Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’ “Lovers and Friends” featuring Usher and Ludacris is the Hot 100’s top debut at No. 36, followed by Destiny’s Child’s “Soldier” featuring T.I. and Lil Wayne, which enters at No. 41. The tracks comprise just the second set of titles to simultaneously enter the top half of the chart this year.
The balance of the chart boasts a slew of debuts, led by the Game’s “How We Do” featuring 50 Cent (No. 65), Green Day’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” (No. 71), Keyshia Cole’s “I Changed My Mind” featuring Shyne (No. 72), Goo Goo Dolls’ “Give a Little Bit” (No. 74), Jay-Z/Linkin Park’s “Numb/Encore” (No. 86), T.I.’s “Bring Em Out” (No. 88), Alicia Keys’ “Karma” (No. 93) and Guerilla Black’s “You’re the One” featuring Mario Winans (No. 99).
Making significant moves this week are Ludacris’ “Get Back” (66-48) and Lloyd Banks’ “Karma” featuring Avant (71-56).
Lonestar’s “Mr. Mom” tops Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart for a second week. Velvet Revolver’s “Fall to Pieces” is No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for an eighth week in a row, while U2’s “Vertigo” tops Modern Rock Tracks list for a fourth.
