Aims and scope
BMC Rheumatology is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that considers pre-clinical, translational and clinical articles on all aspects of the prevention, treatment and management of rheumatological diseases, related systemic and inflammatory conditions and associated comorbidities, as well as epidemiology, education, pathophysiology, genetics, and drug development.
Our journal welcomes submissions in the following broad areas of research related to rheumatological diseases:
- Clinical rheumatology
- Epidemiology and public health
- Pre-clinical and translational science
As a BMC Series journal, BMC Rheumatology does not make editorial decisions based on the perceived interest or potential impact of a study. Manuscripts are considered for publication if they are scientifically valid. For research articles, this includes having a clearly defined and sound research question, appropriate methodology and analysis, and adherence to community-agreed standards relevant to the field.
BMC supports:
The UN Sustainable Development Goals
Assisting policy-makers, governments and humanitarian organizations in making research-backed decisions to advance the international well-being agenda.
