2/15 @ 1PM - Sunday Games at Sketchbook Evanston
Join us at Sketchbook Brewing Company in Evanston for our Sunday Board Game Meetup!
We meet most Sundays at Sketchbook. Just look for the group in the back that has stacks of board games to pick from! We welcome people of all skill levels to come and play, as we always teach new games to people that have not played them before.
Feel free to bring your own games that you want to teach and are familiar with. A typical event starts with talking about what we brought that week, and then we break out into smaller groups to play games based on player count and what everyone is interested in. It's common to have 2 or 3 games going at once, and fitting in a second or third game before the event ends at 4pm. Please RSVP and be on time so that we can include you at the start of the first game, and buy a drink to support the venue!
Junk Journal Breakfast — The Love Edition
An event has long been overdue. I've moved back to Chicago and look forward to reconnecting with former and new members! To start things off, I'd like to introduce you to [Lilliput Books](https://lilliputbookstore.com/), an amazing new woman-owned bookstore in the Lincoln Park area, who is hosting a Junk Journal event this Sunday, February 15 at 9:30 am. While there, be sure to also check out the [Auranimali](https://www.auranimali.com/) pop up shop with Valentine and Chinese New Year themed gifts and more for the month of February.
Follows are the Junk Journal event details:
Create your own junk journal. Your ticket includes journal, supplies to get started, & breakfast.
The LOVE Edition will have fun heart-filled supplies in addition to our general junk journalling supplies. This is a great event to capture what you love e.g., yourself, family, friends, romance, pets, books, etc. Anything you love can be added to your journal!
Start your Sunday, creating your own junk journal. Your ticket includes a journal, supplies to get started, and breakfast. Participants will enjoy a 10% discount during the workshop to buy more supplies (applies to one-time purchase during the workshop off all items in the store).

Sunday Morning Coffee and Write
Welcome to West Loop Writers!
Sunday morning, we will meet up and write from 9-10:30 a.m. at Sawada coffee shop. (Sawada is the slightly hidden coffee shop that connects with Green Street Meats). Bring your laptop, or even better a pen and an old fashioned notebook, and write with us.
At 10:30 we will break from writing, introduce ourselves and what we're working on if the spirit moves us. We have people working on all types of writing, from nonfiction to kids' books and novels.
From there it’s up to you to embrace the serendipity of finding fellow writers to network with! For now I will answer questions about self publishing individually but we aren’t doing any speakers or anything (yet).
