Welcome to our Daily Walking Group We are a friendly crew of walkers who believe that every step counts! Whether you're starting your health journey, staying active, or simply craving fresh air and good company, this group is for you. We meet each morning to walk the Herrick Lake local trails at a steady, conversational pace. We focus on movement, laughter, connection and celebrate every stride, story, and accomplishment. What we offer: • 🌞 Daily walks to boost energy and mood • 🗣️ Easygoing conversation and camaraderie • 🚶‍♀️ Routes tailored for comfort and accessibility • 🎯 Motivation to stay consistent and feel good We meet in the parking lot off of the Herrick Road entrance (NOT the Butterfield entrance) and start out together. We know that everyone has their own pace so it is ok if eventually we get separated. We are all there for the same reason. Some basic guidelines for the group: 1. Although the group is scheduled for every day it won't be the same leader all the time there are several people who will lead the walking. 2. Walking will be cancelled in severe weather conditions such as blizzard conditions or thunderstorms etc. Most of the people won't be walking in weather such as below 30 degrees or a lot of snow on the ground. Please use your best judgement in driving to the site or walking in these conditions. 3. Even though this walking group is scheduled for every day that doesn't mean you have to go every day. If only a couple of days or only the weekends work for you that is great. The group will then have a constant mix of new people for friendship, conversation and support. 4. The trails are approximately 1-2 miles and you can walk around them multiple times if you want to walk more mileage. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, dress appropriately for the weather and walking sticks are acceptable on these trails. 5. This walking event is posted on another Meetup group which is also a great opportunity to meet new people. Whether you're a solo walker looking for community or a seasoned strider ready to inspire others, come walk with us. See you there!

**Chicagoland English Country Dance** Join us for Chicagoland West English Country Dance (ECD) from **3:30-6 p.m.** at the The Gymnasium at Grace Lutheran Church. English Country Dance is social and pattern-based, with a caller guiding each dance—similar to Contra and barn dancing. No partner or experience is needed; all figures are walked through before each dance. We recommend bringing your own water bottle. If you bring snacks to share, we suggest they be bite-sized and easy to eat neatly. (\*\*\*\*\*\*\*Come early from 1-3:15 pm if you would also like to participate in International Folk Dance!) **Admission:** To help cover the cost of the hall rental, the suggested donation is **$5 per person**.
