Likewise in 🇮🇩. Hi-quality TMLR journals won't be highly recognized if not indexed/ranked as Q1/Q2 by scopus /scimagojr. Tier-1 ML conferences (Neurips, ICML,) or Tier-1 CL conferences (ACL, EMNLP,) got low credits, regardless the effort. Hopefully,it changes in the near future😇

chatting with my italian friends and colleagues about Academic life in 🇮🇹 it's sad to see that even high-quality and rigorous venues such as @TmlrOrg "do not count" for their careers as they're not indexed in SCOPUS & co and hence not recognized by the Italian ministry @mur_gov_
