Common questions
Do I need a subscription?
No. Both options work on the FREE tier. Subscriptions only kick in if you want a higher discount multiplier (Apify path) or want a larger credit pack (MCP path).
What counts as a 'result'?
Whatever the scraper considers one structured item — a job listing, a product, a review, a property. You're billed once per item that lands in your dataset, never for empty runs.
How is the MCP path different?
The MCP server wraps our 124 scrapers behind 14 high-level tools (search_jobs, verify_business, etc.). Your agent describes intent in natural language; we pick and chain the right scrapers. Costs more per result but removes all integration glue.
Can I switch between paths?
Yes. Same Thirdwatch account works for both. Use the API directly when you want fine control; switch your agent to the MCP when you want hands-off intent routing.
Is there a free trial?
