Career Services and Professional Development

- Redesigned Career Services web pages and launched a LinkedIn page.

- Provide strengths coaching for PhD students.
- Offer orientation on career-network building.
- Pilot career and life design workshops for all students.
- Expand alumni–student networking opportunities.

Academic Programs
- Accomplished
- Established an Academic Affairs leadership team (Dana Rice, associate dean for AA; Shelley Golden, assistant dean for doctoral programs; and Ciara Zachary, assistant dean for master’s programs) to guide continuous quality improvement by degree.
- Planning / In progress
- Review health equity content across at least one program in each department and begin implementing changes by the end of the academic year.
- Use first-destination survey to pinpoint skills gaps and prioritize 1-3 changes for roll-out in Fall 2026 based on this review.

Mentoring

Getting involved at the School is easy. We have more than 20 active student organizations focused upon global issues, diversity initiatives, community advocacy and healthy lifestyles. Our student organizations sponsor a number of entertaining and informative events.
