Read the Docs Sphinx Theme should work with Sphinx 8 unchanged. From sphinx-doc/sphinx#12629:
#1576 already includes tests for Sphinx 8 and Python>=3.10: 7a6b1a6. It can be cherry-picked onto this PR if required.

Is a pre-requisite for #1559 listed in #1576.
Despite being suggested #1571 does not have a problem with it, because #1571 was fixed in 2.0.0.
