• Jury convicts Illinois father of shooting and killing son (kwqc.com) — A Lakemoor man has been convicted of first-degree murder for fatally shooting his 31-year-old son outside their home in 2025, after a McHenry County jury deliberated less than an hour. The son managed to reach Route 120, where passing drivers and witnesses helped him before he died from his injuries. Sentencing is set for November 24.
