A handful of the episodes adapted the game. Everything else was original

I usually don't like remakes of anything but if there was one that desperately needed one, it's this. The manga did a decent job adapting most of the game until it got cancelled but this anime gave up adapting the manga or the game after the second episode which is a bit ironic since the game is very anime influenced so you would think it wouldn't be hard at all to just directly adapt the source.
The only thing 10/10 about this show was the music but i appreciate that there were the dozens of people that got into the franchise through this

Can barely call it an adaptation most of the side characters were not in the manga and they really, really toned down the nudity and violence and replaced it with comedy. They turned it from seinen to shounen

Rearranging scenes, characters that should be dead in early episodes still alive much longer, filler, just wasted potential all around.
The first adaptation isn't much better either

Not bad but the anime kinda speeds through the first half, they stay in the first city way longer in the manga. More nudity etc

Many people prefer the anime but it basically throws the books out after the first couple episodes. Go read the manga if you want the novels in visual form, slayers special manga too

Probably won't add any more like this one that didn't adapt any of the manga at all because you can't really call them adaptations they're more like spinoffs

Unlike most of these it did adapt the manga but cut out a lot of scenes and the animation wasn't really up to snuff

Not terrible, but very different than the manga

They be doing things in the anime that you still can't do in the games

Older comedy shows definitely did filler better back then

Its the same as the game theres just filler and new characters that werent in the game

Even the wiki mentions this barely has anything to do with the original manga after the first episode

None of the appleseed anime are faithful to the manga but I haven't done much research so for all i know they stated at one point these are supposed to take place "in the universe of the manga"

The netflix version did a really good job which is saying something considering how bad most netflix adaptations are, it's one of their best in terms of adaptations
