A Lesson In Fandom History

Anime with the biggest, most impactful fandoms.
Rules are:
1.) It must have been wildly impactful to fandom culture, not just impactful to anime.
2.) It has to be specifically an anime fandom, adaptations of anything outside manga and light novels are only allowed if the anime is its own thing.
3.) Finally, if a spin-off, second season, sequel series, remake, etc. is more popular and impactful than the original, it will be added instead (e.g. Dragon Ball Z over Dragon Ball)
Everything is listed in release order.
