both are about protagonists traveling the world, exploring different cultures and civilizations. they both have a philosophical feel to them and deal a lot in human nature and the nature of existence.
The protagonist goes on a journey to the unknown, learns the way of life of there and shows us the bitter reality that the world is not beautiful, therefore, it is. The main diferenct though, is that in Fumetsu no Anata e, the protagonist literally knows nothing and can turn into different stuff.
Nowadays, it's difficult to find series that stray from action or romance, where generic plots predominate. When the genre âadventureâ is mentioned, one tends to associate it with these two categories, but far from it, these series take advantage of the protagonist's journey to generate REFLECTION in the viewer. The opportunity to learn from a series is something that, as a regular anime consumer, I value greatly.
