Both use a fighting style that uses brains, against enemies that can transform into familiar people, the main character protects those he loves.
The plot progress is very similar. But overall its quite unexpected to where the drama and conflict are going.
And the mystery felt very alike, the MC and you as the viewer had to guess who are the Parasytes / Bad guys.
Both anime have a similar premise of a character being thrown into a situation that forces them to act against nonhuman creatures. There is a similar sense of suspense in both series, as the main character has to determine whom they can trust in a world where things are in disarray. These anime also have a secondary element of action that supports the main theme of psychological mystery.
