These companies just want the big bucks and anime is not made for people in the west, but for japanese people, speaking about that the One Punch Man animators were saying they were affected by the people in the west on twitter which is actually interetsting as they normally don't talk about the west much in Japan. But being that it is twitter you can interat with anyone and have grok transalte anything to english. Absolutely insane. These new gens are crazy.
I forgot which post was it, but yeah Darwin's Game is so underrated, I don't know why it's not more popular, great art, great music, and s1 Kaname had pretty good development too. I also really like the whole concept of forming a team and battling for territories / being the boss of certain territories. The series Darwin's Game has a lot of resemblance to Air Gear, one of the first anime I really loved, especially when it comes to the Sui/Souta & Akito/Agito dynamics. The anime and manga of Darwin's Game have some differences, the anime cut out some important plot points, if you're interested in reading, the manga for Darwin's Game is really good too.
Ajin is really underrated, the protagonist is quite unique, and Satou is one of my favorite antagonist in anime/manga. The series received a lot of negative feedback due to the CGI I think, but to me, the CGI added a unique feel to the series that feels strangely fitting. I haven't watch the second season or any of the movies yet. Are the movies just recap of the series?
like nyaa is a public tracker.. but there are also private trackers [namely, bakabt and animebytes] that have more strict rules about seeding, and have more obscure anime or releases, and you can expect even those torrents to be seeded
to enter a private tracker you usually need an invite [which are also highly regulated and i do not possess any], but bakabt also has an irc interview system to get an account
back in the day bakabt was still public and i could find all sorts of rare and super obscure older anime there.. nowadays i think you can find a lot of them on nyaa too..
and luckily i still have an account from back then
as for nzb/usenet.. that's a very esoteric form of piracy i am not too privy to
