I'll try to write out a review for shows but it takes lots of time I could spend watching something else, I especially can't if i forgot what the show was about in the first place (*´ã»âã»)

RATING MEANINGS:
10-RECOMEND- top of the top consistently perfect not many show get here but those that do are to me masterpieces
9-RECOMEND- similar to a 10 but has small problems that decrease quality
8-RECOMEND- good enjoyable show has flaws that begin to slightly affect show but are hard to try and fix eg. deep rooted in plot ext
7-RECOMEND- most show i enjoy are here, tend to have easily fixable plot holes or problems
6-MIXED FEELINGS- enjoyable to an extent but problems in show take away from joy
5-MIXED FEELINGS- neither good or bad just perfectly balanced just ok
4-NOT RECOMMEND-usually shows that are very unbalanced in quality or flawed in a major way
3-NOT RECOMMEND/RECOMMENDED-reserved for so bad its good shows only
2-NOT RECOMMEND- horrible shows that make the watcher feel actively worse after watching. like just ravaging the bottom of that barrel and picking the splinters from under my nails for the little nutrient the wood can provide.
1-NOT RECOMMEND- the worst thing a show can be... boring. any show that i can actively fall asleep to, because at least the tier 2`s can evict any amount of emotion from my rotting corpse. but no, not these shows, they cant even do that, just dry stale crackers that would make little difference if they existed or not
see you on the dance floor

Happy New Year to you as well!
It isn't just YagaKimi which is in favorites but only has a 9, actually ^^ but well, regarding your question: I think favorite and high quality aren't the same by a long shot. I mean, most shows have obvious flaws, but for shows I really like it is easier to look past them. In YagaKimi for example, there is that really weird light effect that feels really overused to me. Of course, most if not all shows have some flaws. Even the 10s have in most cases not a perfect 10/10, you might notice that I use the tags in my list to give decimals, and except for one season and one movie of Gintama, the second season of Chihayafuru and the first season of Mahoutsukai no Yome I haven't given that 10/10 out. Not surprisingly though, all 3 also are favorites of mine. But on the contrary, there are also shows which I think are really good, but I just really don't enjoy, like Kyojin (again). Those just can't really end up at the top of my list, because mathematically, even if a show is somehow a 10/10 in everything else, if I don't enjoy it at all (which should be the primary purpose of entertainment), it can't go higher than 8(.2). Well, but back to the favorites: Those are shows I can just rewatch over and over, and not get tired thinking about, regardless of their quality. If anything, because I watched them so often and not just through the lens of what I like but also what others might dislike about that show, I probably know their shortcomings better than most. Take Ro-Kyu-Bu for example. I have (officially) rewatched that show 34 times, and the real number is so, so much higher. I know all the places where more budget might've made the anime visually more appealing, I know where people will criticize the themes an so on. But all that doesn't change the fact that I just love that show. Pretty similar to relationships really, where true love only begins when one can accept the shortcomings and flaws of the other party.
Just for reference, are you talking about my Cowboy Bebop review or my Ping Pong review? The fact that you have PPtA in your favorites I would assume the latter? I am really sorry, but I absolutely don't remember anything OST... no, actually Soundwise from PPtA at all. And I can't say I regret that situation. Sooo... I wish you good luck in your endeavours of finding me and ripping me to shreds?
