Once an avid anime watcher, now more of a casual; Retired from the manga/ln mediums, will never pick new one's up.

The idea of scoring a piece of art as a means to measure its quality or one's feelings towards it is something im opposed to, yet as I happen to be retarded, I still engage in it; As such, my ratings arent rlly a great indicator as to whether I like something or not, it is very inaccurate and not rlly a good representation of my thoughts on a said series, if u want to know my thougths, ask. Though, its not necessarily always the case, 5 & up means i like the series (of course it being varying degrees of appreciation), there's some 4's that are exceptions to the rule; namely entries of a series with multiple seasons, films or ovas, etc. But not always, the same can also apply to an anime with only 1 singular entry in its totality that I like but is still down at a 4 for some specific reason. In the case of the former, the score also becomes a comparison in between the series and as such not a perfect indicator of whether I think a specific season is bad or not, just whether it's a lil worse or better than another season, so if I gave 1 season a 5 and I found another season to be lesser in terms of quality (even if i still like it) I will give it a 4 & vice versa. The same can be said for some of my 3s, I don't necessarily dislike everything I've scored a 3 (usually it does mean I dislike it), Some I found mid, but for some reason or another, I just couldn't get myself to give it a 4 (generally a 4 means i'm Indifferent to it, or liked 1 portion of a show and disliked the other)... For it to be somewhat accurate, I would need to purely rate 1 entry of a series & have it represent the series in its entirety. But yeah, my favs also aren't necessarily my actual favs, its just shit i fw a lot. P.S. Dont take my dropped anime & their scores too seriously, lots of them would obviously be bound to change if I were to finish themâœŒ

Rating system:

My rating system is mainly based on universal expression, 3 dimensionality, layers, amounts of meta-fictional aspects, overall detail, how said details are conveyed; I mainly have a preference towards the more implicit kind of detailing, although, I'm still fine with explicity, symbolism, too, complexity, conceptuality, narrative structure (preferably as dense as possible), and just functionality of different elements, whether it be characters, themes, etc. Sometimes, though, works may not even excel in any of these aspects or just a limited amount, but still manage to be rlly significant in how they make/made me feel... Coldness, sexiness, emotionlessness, and just trolling (in regards to characters), are all too extremely crucial aspects, in-fact, they're the most important ones, objectively speaking.

10/10 - Yeah, this changed my life, I'd sacrifice the entire medium for it, nearly. this is what Beethoven is for classical music; just transcendental, like, it's so beyond anything else the medium has to offer, it's insane. Transcends all and everything. Unequivocally the goat, and nothing will ever touch it.
9/10 - peak. How did humans actually make this, art cant get better than this as a whole, that's fs. This means everything to me, i need it injected into my body, seriously. My love towards it is boundless, so fucking crazily done. I'd say this is nearly life-changing
8/10 - fucking great, man. anime can barely get better than this, and I'd def re-watch it if I got the time, borderline fav basically.? Watch this now! Extremely profound, detailed, masterfully structured and presented. Pretty much changed my life (or nearly)
7/10 - really good, I fw it a lot, and I could def see myself re-watching them again if I at some point get burned-out and dont have anything new to watch, had lots of qualities, and didnt do too many things bad particularly, and i'd def recommend them, that's fs.
6/10 - good i like it, I wouldnt mind re-watching it, and i'd probably recommend it, that's fs... had quite a bit of qualities and the good definitely outweighed the negative
5/10 - this is alright, not that good, but yeah not too bad either, could see why people like it, it's just not rlly for me, personally.
4/10 - meh, this is not good, dont rlly dislike it, but i dont like it either, didnt leave any impression on me at all, so that's that, dont rlly have many strengths if any at all, nor does it have many negatives either.
3/10 - bad I'd say. I do not like it that's fs,it did basically nothing well at all, and did a lot badly, but it's not too terrible either, just not something i could see myself like ever.
2/10 - fucking shit imo. I rlly do not like this, but it's whatever, ig, either that or i just dont give a flying fuck about it
1/10 - Just retire, man. This must've been made by a fucking untermensch. Rot in hell, I do not care.

Honestly, when you're as inconsistent as me with updates, & idk sometimes add a shit ton of shows to the ptw list, using both anilist and mal simultaneously gets rlly fucking tiresome.
