Hello! I'm Seiya, a semi-casual anime fan. I hope to get along.
I began watching anime around nearly a decade ago now, starting with "Bleach" which I still love to this day. Although before that, I did enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh!, Inazuma Eleven and Pokémon whenever they were on TV.
I tend to prefer series with action and drama. It doesn't have to be flashy in terms of animation, but that's a bonus. I'm also trying to get more into manga.

its literally that they make me sick
and i know why they are doing this. they feel themselves more niche as we call them ''elitist''
I like to look at storytelling from a more universal perspective. For example, I wouldn't be able to fully touch base with Nagisa from Clannad, but I can see universal themes & aspects of the human condition at play that I can relate to despite the vastly different background. I suppose I'm the type who, even if it doesn't seem apparent at first, tries to find ways to make it apply to my life.
I'm actually a very pessimistic person by nature, especially when left to my own devices. Anime has been such a huge part of balancing my outlook with doses of optimism.
Hope Christmas treated you well. I'm starting to gear up for the New Year. Ironically Christmas is my favorite holiday, yet I find myself in greater anticipation of the New Year (likely because I set so many plans around it).
I actually find anime to be the opposite for me - it often helps me face my own reality with a more positive outlook. As I've drifted away from anime, I've found myself finding new hobbies that have become actual escapism and it makes me dearly miss but cherish how much anime inspired me for the better.
Well I hope you have a Merry Christmas.
Yeah, I sometimes hesitate to reply to older posts since it feels like the time has come & gone. Then again, posting in older discussions helps to keep the legacy alive and prove the timelessness of storytelling and its meaning to each generation.
Sports anime was actually a huge catalyst for getting me interested into learning about various sports. I actually picked up cycling in large part thanks to Overdrive & Yowamushi Pedal.
I'm just as bad though mate if not worse xD
