Hey how’s it going! I thought innocence was really good, quite a different movie to the first but great in its own right and while I prefer the first movie a little, I think innocence which explored the same themes and philosophy’s did an even better job of it and also felt like a more complete experience than the first, it was more confusing at times but less confusing by the end. Before I watched I saw some complaints about the characters getting a lot of quotes off and being too philosophical etc but I didn’t feel that way, they never felt out of place or forced and again I’d say the movie handled it’s philosophy better than the first, I can see why it’s divisive but I feel like often is the case, it’s divisive because it’s different which is always a shame because anime like this are examples of why the medium is so special imo. Production wise it was also quite different to the first, especially its vibe and atmosphere but it was equally as good as 95, probably even more immersive, it’s always a pleasure to watch something with so much love and care put into it. So far I’ve only watched the first two movies so stand alone complex is next up for me!

Also, about your JJK S2 review - if what you saw was bad to you, wait until what happens afterwards. It's unfortunate that there's better shounens to adapt yet this mediocrity is animated.
