I am sure you are aware MM is pretty divisive. The time limit is a stressor I hated as a kid but I appreciated more when I became like 11 or 12.

I know that feel of failing finals, I did not do well at college like at all and internet problems on top of that sound sucky and sucky can be.

Lol at a con recently I got another N64, one that works. Can finally play them again on a CRT except I have a repro cart of an Ocarina of Time rom hack and have been playing that. Almost found all the heart pieces and gold skultullas, found like 85 of those.

3DS for OoT is fine and I would recommend N64 for MM. There is the PC port made by fans which will do ya good.

I didn't find the 2D games too esoteric. I think the mirror in zelda 2 stumped me hard though, that was bullshit.

I could go on for a long time how Zelda 1's gameplay has a specific language in how it tells you things and it isn't as cryptic as it seems and instead you need to reframe how you view the game.

LttP is a very fun game on replays since in the latter half the dungeon order is significantly more open than the earlier and there are multiple ways you can approach the game. I think the funniest is to get to the end of every dungeon but not beat them to then make freeing Zelda on turtle rock be the first maiden you save is funny.

Oracle of Ages is the hardest Zelda game when it comes to puzzles hands down. The dungeons get very good in that game and the 8th one stands out to me as one of the best Zelda dungeons ever simply for how much it had to keep track of.

I'll stop ranting now XD. I love the Zelda games. MM is a really cool game, if you haven't played it before you are in for a wild ride. The game has alot of friction so it becomes a love it or hate it game.
