Anime
- that left a deep impression on me and echoed in my heart
- that I consider perfect in all aspects or at least extremely good in several aspects
- that has a unique, original, unforgettable atmosphere
- that I can re-watch or re-watched at least once (this applies not to all favs)

Manga
same as anime, except for re-reading

Characters
- whom I consider similar to myself, or
- whom I would like to meet and have by my side in real life, or
- whom I respect and consider an example for myself

People
- who created several impressive artworks
- who have their own style unmistakable for anyone else's
