In your comment you said you hadn’t 100% Expedition 33, but I bet you have by now. I tried to save you from the curse of too much power xD A work around for that now that wasn’t on release is that you can up the health of the enemies. You can multiply their HP pools to kinda match your damage output. I did that for the DLC area added next to Lumiere.
In regards to the endings, its frustrating to know that the Maelle ending could have been the perfect ending if she just followed through with what she said to Verso. If she just didn’t stay in the painting to long and treated it as a holiday house. But she also isn’t emotionally mature and made bad decisions so it does make sense but MAN we could have had it all. Verso’s ending does feel like more of the true ending but I don’t like feeling all our characters are gone forever.
It is so fun that you can get as OP as you want as long as you know how to build correctly.It makes you realy think about it and on several occasions I spent hours just changing builds around certain weapons.
How this game was made is insane too, have you heard any of the stories? Like how the music composer they just found off soundcloud and he had never made anything before. How the story writer was actually auditioning to be Lune’s Voice Actor but during her audition kept making suggestions on what Lune should be saying. I watched an hour long video on it cause it was just so interesting and should not have worked.
How long did your Simon fight take. Simon was absolutely insane and took me ages, but I also refused to just use a one shot build that could beat him before he even got a turn. Have you finished Endless Tower? The final 4 bosses there are insane and I am really curious to know how you faired with them. Each has a different way of not letting you cheese them.
The Gestral Beach Climbing got you? I struggled a bit there too but honestly my nightmares came from the Volleyball. The final difficulty of that made me lose my mind. And if you have done the DLC, jumping into that final inflatable ring was also a boss fight all on its own.

You definitely wont finish BG3 before RE9, but if you have time afterwards than this will keep you busy until more comes out later. I am so keen for Requiem btw as I am sure you are too. All I ask is that they don’t kill Leon. Ive seen a lot of theories about that which I pray are wrong… an Ada cameo or two would also be nice :)

I SEEEEEEEEE haha so I wasn’t getting absolutely embarrassed by you like I originally thought cause I was giving you my total attempt numbers and not just the night lord fight attempts. With Balancers I told you like 35ish but actually fighting the balancers was about 16…. Which is still an embarrassing amount but not 35 haha. My brother and I tried to steer clear of the Night’s Tide, we were clearly not as daring as you. It got us a couple times but was definitely not the main run killer.
Iron Eye felt strong but I just couldn’t play him many times in a row. Undertake and Duchess I could but after 2 or 3 Iron Eye runs I felt like I needed to swap.
Do you intend to do the Everdark bosses?
Honestly I think beating Elden Ring is gonna be insanely hard. Miyazaki has said he plans to beat it but that could just be Ceo talk. There are plenty of good ones like right now I am playing Code Vein 2 and having a good time and Nioh 3 just released. I haven’t played the Nioh games get but have heard great things about 2. Fromsoftware’s new game comes out this year but it is exclusive to Switch 2 which is INCREDIBLY shit as I am a Nintendo hater so this news is really sad to me. I hope it comes out on anything else in the future. But yeah, I doubt it will get better than Elden Ring but I am happy to be proven wrong.

Dude Chainsaw man chapters come out on Wednesday for me in Australia and Wednesday morning when I open my phone CSM spoilers are sometimes the first thing I see on any social media feed I open. Wednesday’s I gotta treat my phone like it contaminated until I read it. It really goes to show the stuff that gets thrown in your face and how it is tailored specifically to you. I am up to date on both One Piece and JJK anime but never see any manga spoilers cause I just don’t google anything about them I guess.

I am usually the type to skip the mini games. I wish I could remember what Gwent specifically did to draw me in. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth also managed to get me with Queens Blood. These are the only 2 real times I can think of where I am been addicted to the mini games as much as the main game.

Who knows with GTA 6, I have decided to just believe nothing until it comes out.
Good, we can be hyped about Blood of the Dawnwalkers together xD Hyped games coming out at the same time does suck though. As it is I need to power through Code Vein 2 so it doesn’t overlap with Resident Evil 9.

Using insane to describe new Fate is incredibly accurate. What the hell is going on xD Originally they were making a fake a holy grail war so that Saber wouldn’t be summoned. But Saber got summoned anyway… not only that but we got 3 archers, 2 casters (I am assuming the latest dude we saw is a caster?) on top of 1 of all the other servants. And I am incredibly surprised none of died yet. I was worried Assassin was gonna get offed early, and now none of died and we got like 11 servants instead of 7. This is wild and I am still having a good time. Jack the Riper has been like the most sane of the servants we have seen so far. They all psychos. The fact no one has died yet leads me to believe you are correct with thinking this will get another season.
So sentenced to be a hero is both better than I thought but I am also still sceptical. The start has got me interested and I like the characters. I am a little confused why he hates goddesses so much though as his backstory shows why he would hate the church and the military but not goddesses. Leading me to believe either there is still more to it or it was just contrived conflict. I guess I am hoping there will be more to the story than just getting revenge against the people that betrayed him but so far I am enjoying it.
So any sleeper hits this season you think I should watch?

Also today is the last day I am gonna have my PC for 2-4 weeks as I need to get my graphics card fixed. SO depending on when I get it back my next comment may be delayed.

Nightreign Update: So we beat the Dreglord. Just counting the runs we actually made it to the Dreglord it took us 5 tries. And funnily enough, we beat him the first time we saw his second phase. First time we both died to that giant scarlet bomb he drops… never got hit by that again -_- I learnt my lesson. 2nd to 4th try would just die to random unluckiness like getting grappled by a minion. But fifth try was the first time we got to second phase and we got it on first attempt. We was a pretty fun boss but I do think he was too Tanky. I was doing jump attacks with a colossal holy hammer as the undertaker and it still didn’t feel like it was doing much. But we got him so oh well. My first Undertaker win too. That means I only have 1 undertaker win, 1 Ironeye win and the rest were all duchess >.< My brother and I might tackle the everdark variants at some point but we are gonna take a nightreign break for a bit… balancers really tested our patience. It’s insane that Balancers took like 7x longer than Dreglord. But it’s a classic Souls-like tale that you will struggle on bosses others didn’t and demolish bosses others have given up on

Yeah my holidays were good, mainly just visiting relatives and friends I don’t get to see often.

The tremors movies weren’t bad, they were just losing what made them enjoyable with each movie so yeah… I think stopping at the second one was the right call. Kevin Bacon was only in the first one too, which is funny to think the most ‘horror’ of the series is the only one with Kevin Bacon.

Im so hyped to know you have been playing Expedition 33 and wonder if you have finished it by now. And if you have finished it, if you have done all the extra content. Cause the new update added after the game awards included 4 insanely hard bosses in the endless tower that took me hours to complete each one.
Monoco’s theme is one I contemplated sending you but thought it would be funnier experiencing it in the context of the game. He is a great character with tonnes of quotable lines. I think my favourite line from the whole game is ‘Not now son, I am busy beating up strangers.’ xD
Its very good you didn’t get any spoilers cause it has to be one of my favourite stories since Nier Automata. Baldur’s Gate 3 for instance has a very good story but is more along the lines of like a witcher 3 story. Where on the surface it is pretty simple (save Ciri) but then the character writing and side content and small details is why it is so legendary. Expedition 33 is anything but simple and I was hooked pretty much instantly. As soon as Sophia gets gomaged, you land on a beach and lose almost everyone then try to off yourself in a pile of corpses… I knew this was gonna be special ^.^
Very interested to hear you opinion of Verso now >.> Losing Gustave ruined me and I thought the exact same, you cant just replace our boy daredevil like that. And Verso seemed sus af. But then Verso is pretty damn good too, but I wont get into that cause Idk where you are at haha. But again, a big Nier Comparison of losing the MC halfway through. You lose 2B halfway through the game and get A2 and that is exactly what E33 did haha.
Ok as for the expedition number, there have not been 32 expeditions. Expedition 0 was the first expedition and ‘ideally’ was supposed to be the only expedition cause obviously they wanted it to succeed straight away. But after it didn’t and evidently more expeditions were necessary, they decided to name the expeditions after the number reflected on the monolith, so it counted down. I don’t remember when they sent out the first one, and they didn’t send one out every year at first cause it was only effecting the really old people. Like between 100 and 80 not that many people were dying so they would only send them out here and there. But then they started sending one out every year. You will see in the journals there will be some gaps in numbers because of this. But yeah, in short the first was expedition 0 and then after that they count down using the number the paintress paints.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has to have the most replay-ability out of any game I have ever played. With the amount of story endings, character endings, player builds and hidden side content in the game… I still haven’t experienced everything. There is character type you can choose in character creation where you have a voice whispering to you to kill your companions. You have a percentage chance to murder your romantic interest and I don’t even know how it effect’s story events. I have played the game 3 times and I still see youtube shorts of quests I have never found. We talked about evil runs before and this is the only game I have done an evil run because it is so different to a good run. You cannot experience all of Baldur’s Gate 3 in 1 run.

So when you talk about your attempts, do you count runs where you don’t make it to the night lord? Or do you just always make it to the night lord haha. So when you say you first tried balancers, does that mean you first tried Mohg or the demon prince…. And in that case whichever one you beat you just never fought the other? My brother and I have only tried the dreglord like 3 times and only made it to him once. The other times we got rolled by Artorius on Night 2. The one time we did make it to Dreglord I found him pretty easy. I hadn’t used a single flask and then he summoned some giant blood ball thing and one shot us both. That is a pretty lame way to go about it btw. Having 1 AoE move that can just instant wipe everyone on full HP… AND I STILL HAD EVERY FLASK >.< Between my brother and I, I think we are pretty even. I have played more souls games than him but he has played enough to where I don’t think the extra hours I have put in have really made me better. We both fuck up and we both have our chances in the spotlight to save the other.

Funny with Chainsaw man how I was trying to imply characters can come back when in the latest chapter (without spoilers) something has happened that has exploded my feed with all the potential characters we will get to see again. I actually have to read chapters the second they come out if I don’t want any spoilers. You are doing well if you are anime only and still haven’t got any major spoilers. Our roles have reversed, I imagine this is what it was like for you with Attack on Titan.

Yeah that is exactly what I mean, we played as Ciri’s dad and now thinking about being romantic as her just kinda feels weird. But then I really like my romance in these big rpg’s so I don’t really know how to feel. I am hoping story wise they can still pull off something similar to Witcher 3 and combat wise I am hoping they can surpass it. But character wise I am very sceptical. And they literally have to keep gwent… gwent was the main game, everything else was just a side quest ;)

I am pretty sure GTA VI was moved (again) to 2027. So if you have a yearly gaming budget you don’t have to make allowances for GTA 6 anymore. I do have high hopes for Blood of the Dawnwalker being a witcher 3 successor without the Witcher name… but it does suck it doesn’t have a date yet. But I guess by not having a date you cant be disappointed with delays like GTA 6 >.>

But you see, all the things you pointed are most likely gonna be fixed with the WIT Studio remake. I didn’t know about the Haki one actually though. That’s pretty funny to think everyone has conqueror’s haki but they just suck with it. But yeah, they came this far being weekly… commit to the end ;_;

So yeah, you were right about Fate Strange Fake. Now that it is actually airing I had to rewatch the movie from 2023 and the first episode from 2025 before actually continuing in 2026 >.> An even stupider release schedule than Jojo’s. But now that it is airing and I actually remember what’s going on it’s looking like the best new series so far. I hope Assassin actually gets a decent role this time around. Assassin always seems to be one of if not the first to die or plays a small role. She seems pretty prominent so far but I thought they were gonna kill her off both the first episode than the second episode. Having an OP vampire master does give hope she wont be fodder like most assassin’s are but I guess we will see. They are certainly leaning into the ‘Strange’ part of the title with having a dog, 2 children and a vampire as masters.
I haven’t seen Sentenced to be a hero yet but I have heard a lot of good things about the first episode. I am only sceptical since all the praise I hear has purely been animation related. And unfortunately I do want more than just good animation otherwise I would be a much bigger Demon Slayer fan. But the praise is certainly more welcome than criticism so Ill get around to starting that one soon.
They are the only new series Im watching, hope I hear about something else good along the way. Sequels I got all the same as you except without Oshi no Ko and My Hero. Only additions I have are Chained Soldier and Trigun. So we got pretty much the same amount of shows. I cant wait for Frieren ^.^

Hey, Ill give you a proper response later.... but figured since you are already powering through expedition 33 I'll give you a quick tip I wish I knew before playing. The final act of the game is the shortest story wise but longest side content wise. Meaning if you do all the side content first (which I did and it sounds like you are doing) you will definitely 1 shot the final boss. I was INSANELY overleveled for the entire final area and I am not exaggerating when I say I won the final fight with a single auto attack. Now if you want to be OP and live your Saitama fantasy then by all means do it xD But what I wish I knew is that in act 3 you should just do the main story with minimal side content so that you are around the right level that everything is still a good fight... since your nightreign escapades make you sound like a noble warrior ;) All of the side content will still be there after finishing the game, it isn't missable and you can still explore everything. What the game does is put you in front of the boss arena before the fight took place but the boss isnt there anymore.
So yeah, I recommend in act 3 to do story first and side content second because I accidentally made the entire final area trivial which I regret. And you dont skip anything by finishing the game first. Im pretty confident about this but you can look it up to be safe.... you'll just have to be weary about spoilers. But if you want to be a walking powerhouse that is also up to you haha

P.S. FINALLY beat the Balancers on the 38th ATTEMPT >.> So that is the total number of times we started a balancer run but that isnt 100% accurate cause some runs we just quit straight away if we got a shit map rotation. Still way more attempts then it felt it deserves. We got it with my brother on Raider and me on Duchess. I had 3 Legendary weapons.... THREE!! If we didnt win on the run where the Fromsoftware gods gifted me 3 legendary weapons and one of the them was the Dark Moon Blood I was gonna have a conniption haha. Well I can finally try the dreglord now but I am so mentally fatigued from the balancers I am gonna not try it straight away. That can be a tomorrow problem

As I am preparing for my 35th attempt to beat the balancers, I want to retract my holiday wishes and restate how much I hate you for 1st trying Balancers :) This is my least favourite boss in all of souls history and it is made 10x worse I need to do a 45min run to retry it and fuck this fight. It is not hard, they are not difficult. But it is not balanced around 2 people and their weakness being sleep is the biggest load of dog shit. The few times I do proc sleep I am 80% likely to accidently hit them 1 more time and wake them up. But that doesnt happen often because by the time sleep does go off they are almost dead anyway. But then use sleep on the boss Balancer you may say, well that would be all well and good if it then didnt teleport away after every few hits. This is actually the worst fight in the history of the planet and I want to fight the dreglord but at this point I would rather just play a different game. If I wasnt a stubborn souls veteran I would have given up a long time ago cause this is easily on my top 3 list of most unfun fights in gaming. I have played 10+ souls-likes and finished them solo without summoning allies or using online to get other players or using cheese 1 shot tactics. I know for a fact this boss is no where near as hard as some of them, but I could fight them on repeat without a 45min delay and there werent 7 of them in 1 arena.

In conclusion, Dreglord better be 1 good fucking boss to save my opinion of this DLC

Murder animals xD Yeah I can’t exactly say what is wrong with me. Funnily enough after you saying Im in the mood for savage stuff, my current trajectory has been rewatching Adventure Time. I have kinda run out of movies I am interested in. Which is frustrating cause I know statistically there still has to be hundreds of movies I would like but I have no idea what they are. So right now I am binging one of the best animated cartoons out there ;P
MAN I wish you couldn’t remember the name of the movie you were trying to describe cause this time I could have 100% helped you out. Tremors was in my murder animal phase. I did not watch all of them but I did watch the first 3. I will say it is a film series that I progressively liked less and less with each installment which is why I didn’t watch them all. My only real problem is they did a pet peeve where the monster becomes less scary and more of a joke as the story continues. The first 1 only had 3 worms and it was a close struggle with each one and many lives were lost. By the 3rd one they were out the backyard with their TnT placing bets on who could blow up the most worms and they barely registered as a threat. I quite liked the first 1 with Kevin Bacon and I liked the second one enough to watch the third. But the third one kinda lost me a bit.

Dude the Expedition 33 Soundtrack is just so damn good. In my spotify wrapped my most listened to artist was the expedition 33 composer!!! I would ask if you have listened to any others, but then also if you plan to ever play the game it might be better to experience them first in game cause it is just such an amazing moment. Nier Automata, Expedition 33 and Persona 5 have the most stand out sound tracks in my opinion. There are individual tracks that really stick in my mind like the main theme to Elden Ring. But I can’t think of a whole lot of other music from Elden Ring whereas I could listen to almost anything from those 3 games.
Expedition 33 and Baldurs Gate 3 are great picks for you potential new games list. They are very different games to everything else in your completed list though so you do have to be prepared for that. Being a Pokemon fan you at least have the patience for turn based combat which is what puts a lot of other people off. Expedition 33 is a lot more engaging turn based though because you have to be prepared to dodge/parry during the enemies turn. Because of this and being a shorter commitment I would recommend Expedition 33 first, that way you also wouldn’t be too far behind the hype. But hey, Im not gonna turn you away from Baldur’s Gate 3 at all. BG3 has been in my top 3 most played games on steam the last 3 years cause I have done a new run each year >.<

See, this is why a pet peeve of mine in series is when the big threat stops being scary. I have lived in Australia for 28 years and I have never stopped being scared of spiders ;_;
With the fear of high places one, that doesn’t effect me as much. If I am at the top of a sky scraper I still get sweaty palms and butterflies in my stomach but I can still look over the edge. I don’t think there is anyone that has 0 effect on, I still don’t want to fall… but I wouldn’t list it in my fears. I wouldn’t not do something just cause it’s high up.

‘We beat balancers on out first try…’ Dude you just ruined my Christmas with that. Balancers is pissing my brother and I the FUCK off. It is our most attempted night lord and it’s made even worse cause it doesn’t even feel hard. There attack string is not difficult at all, but again having sleep as there weakness is so shit cause we never have a sleep weapon and gank fights are the worst type of souls fight. I have never liked a 2v1 soul’s boss and now this is a 7v2. We haven’t even attempted the Dreglord yet cause we cant beat the goddamn balancers.
I haven’t tried the scholar but his kit didn’t interest me much. I have been enjoying the undertaker, one time I ult’d 3 times in a row and that felt huge. But then again I haven’t had a single successful run with her yet so it hasn’t been going that well clearly.

Yep, I am glad you can agree the animation isn’t the only bad thing about One Punch Man. Like all these people asking for a remake and a different studio to do season 3… like it’s gonna be boring no matter what. When I first started reading OPM I gave its manga score a 9 on MAL. Right now I think it’s a 6 cause I have just been slowly lowering every couple years that it doesn’t end cause it just needs to end. Saitama isn’t in it anymore, like at all.
I have seen the final season is supposedly amazing, I might give it another go now that its done. I just need to find the motivation to watch the season before it too.

Without spoiling it, I will say one thing I like about Chainsaw Man is how it handles death. I like series where death isn’t certain but you can’t just always be revived like Dragon Ball Z. In Chainsaw man it is possible for some Devil’s or Fiends to return… as for Reze in particular I won’t comment on ;) Makima being the mystery is why I like her so much. Right now besides Denji, everyone would think Reze is a straight up terrorist. But because we watched from Denji’s perspective we are sympathetic towards him. So was Makima assassinating Reze evil or for the better of everyone else?
Makima being able to squash ppl from across the country with their names and a sacrifice certainly doesn’t seem to correlate with Rat powers hey xD Or how she was able to survive a head shot on the train. I love the mysteries around Makima ^.^

You ignored Gwent :O For Christmas my brother bought me the physical Gwent playing cards and board xD I love it so much! Yeah I am sceptical about a new witcher trilogy. I love Ciri but idk how it will be with her as the lead. A big selling point of witcher is the characters and Geralt being the lead with Yennefer as a main love interest was perfection. Ciri has some big shoes to fill but I also still have faith in CD Projekt Red so my scepticism is balanced out by optimism. I don’t think the games will be short or rushed, my guess is they have already put time into all 3 given it has been over 10 years since Witcher 3. Yeah they have had other focuses like Cyberpunk, but I am guessing all 3 Witcher games will have had some progress slowly for most of that time. That could be complete BS but I like to believe.
Speaking of the key figures that are no longer working there, they have supposedly been making the game The Blodd of Dawnwalker. That is a new game that sounds pretty sick and if you don’t know anything about it you should look into it. If you are worried about Witcher cause of the key figures leaving well maybe you should be excited for this instead cause this is sounding like a very witcher-like game.

I mentioned a few live action shows I watched before, and now the new season of Fallout has started. I don’t wanna rant like I did with Loser Ranger and it turns out you didn’t watch fallout and I am remembering a conversation that never happened. But I think you watched Fallout? You started season 2?

Something else I have kept meaning to mention but forgetting. What are your thoughts on One Piece becoming seasonal? I am really sad about it honestly. I really enjoyed OP being a constant no matter what. Yeah it had breaks every now and then but it was nice not having to check if a one piece season was airing on the anime charts and just knowing it would be there. This would fix the only real issue One Piece has being its pacing. But at this point I think I would rather worse pacing and just continuing to always have a one piece episode. Like why fix it this many episodes in. Commit to this strategy to the end. One Piece is already being remade by WIT Studios to fix the pacing issue so whats the point of Toei fixing it now. It really bums me out I only have 1 more episode and then I have to wait.

I meant to ask this before, but out of interest what entices you to play a brand new game. Just curious because I obviously know why you would play a sequel to a franchise you like, but do you have like criteria when it comes to selecting something completely new since you don't play as many games in a year?

I am surprised you had never heard of movies framed from the perspective of a hand held camera as found footage. Even when it isn’t necessarily footage that is found, I think that is a common way of referring to it. I wonder if it is a me thing, Australia thing or you thing haha. From that description I cant not think of Blair Witch, so if it isn’t that then I have no further leads. Im sure you will stumble upon it eventually though. We’ve all had those nostalgia things where we remember something vividly then something will trigger or you will just randomly remember what it is for absolutely no reason. I have been continuing my movie binge, right now my phase has been on creature or murderous animal films. Rogue having been my favourite one of the recent batch which is about surviving a giant crocodile on an island that is slowly sinking under water with the tide. Dog Soldiers (werewolves) and the Edge (Bear) were also pretty good. I don’t know what my next phase will be or if I will just find more in the murder animal category.

I see The Beast is on sale but I gotta say, think I want more than that. I may be greedy, but I also got a big wishlist and as you said, gaming is an expensive hobby. So I think the beast has a little longer to wait still. I have also added Dispatch to that wishlist with the amount of shorts I have been getting from it.
GTA VI just wants to keep winning the most anticipated game at the game awards indefinitely with all these delays xD Speaking of the game awards you seen the nominations. Easily my game of the year got 12 awards >.< That is insane. I am an advocate of 1 game not sweeping every category so I really hope that isn’t what ends up happening. But at the same time, since it is now a top 5 game of all time for me… I cant help smirking abit that it got so many nominations. It 100% deserves Game of the Year, best narrative and best OST awards (the music is up there with the nier automata OST), all the others may be spread around…. I will always it ;P

Oh I am terrified of the ocean, but I also feel real world fears don’t really translate into games. Like my two biggest fears are actually the ocean and spiders. Yet I have no problem facing spiders in game and playing a horror game based in the ocean. Is there a correlation for you?

Alright Nightreign, so I think it took my brother and I 6 tries, but we never lost to the first phase and honestly the hardest part was finding a holy weapon. I found that playing as duchess none of the holy weapons felt good to use. They were all weapons that didn’t feel compatible with the class or just did like no damage. In the end I won with 2 Cleanrot Knight Halo Scythe’s. Each having Holy and Bleed dmg and the sorcery on them actually did some damage.
I find it funny you feel the need to redo if it isn’t a clean win, where as when I killed the Equilibrious beast with poison after I had already died I couldn’t stop celebrating and thanking the lord I didn’t have to fight him again. I don’t need clean wins, I just need them to die xD
And just in time for the DLC announcement too, I cant wait to try the Undertaker. I didn’t actually notice how many new Night Lords there would be or if that information was even available. Either way I am keen for more Nightreign now that I have finally caught up.

So Idk if I have already brought this up, but want my hot take for the season. Yes the One punch Man adaptation is shit, I am not defending it…. But I also didn’t really care about the manga at this point either. You know what this situation reminds me of… Promised Neverland. Everyone getting upset about how shit the second season is and that you should just ‘read the manga’, but I also stopped liking the manga after Goldy Pond. In OPM case Saitama is just a side character in his own show and it becomes like early One Piece shenanigans where the plot is just throw side characters at the problem and stall Saitama so that he doesn’t win too easily. Yeah they had to find ways to not make the one punch gimmick get old, but Garou wasn’t the answer for me. Like putting the animation aside, have you found the content of this season particularly interesting. Episode 6 being the worst rated episode of anime ever still would have probably been a boring episode even if it wasn't a slide show. In the manga I don’t even remember the last time I saw Saitama do something >.>
Spy x Family is still good, I like the bus hijacking arc. Woulda liked to see Yor come save Anya cause it’s always fun seeing protective Mama Bear Yor glare murderous intent at any threat to Anya ^.^

And I have actually been using this small season to catch up on my backlog. I have been watching shows I had been meaning to for a while like The All Devouring Whale, Jormungand and Akiba Maid War. All Devouring Whale was a Chinese one that is basically Grandmaster of Demonic Pokemon and the pokemon actually kill each other. Jormungand is a lot like Black Lagoon and Akiba Dragon Maid is if Roberta from Black Lagoon got a job as a maid in Tokyo. All quite enjoyable.

So in terms of witcher, I was originally willing to give Liam a chance. But Idk, I just haven’t been motivated to try it since it’s been out. Not to say I wont watch it, but I have just been watching my movies instead. I have also been watching IT: Welcome to Derry (prequel to the Stephen King movies) and Pluribus (next series by the Breaking Bad creator). Are you watching either of these? I will probably watch Witcher at some point but I don’t have very high expectations tbh. I am not a snob when it comes to be biblically accurate to the books, but they are also probably my favourite books so it is pretty annoying when they make some changes for the worse.
Have you played the game more than once? I played witcher 3 twice and I cant wait for Witcher 4. My only concern is when they switch protagonists is killing off the old protagonists for shock value. Please don’t kill Geralt for no reason.
Also funnily enough I know what my brother got me for Christmas. Not cause he told me but cause he has a terrible poker face, and he got me a Gwent set xD

And I have finished Nightreign ^.^ I’ll get into the details when I do a full reply but I have FINALLY beaten all the nightlords and thankfully it was before any DLC came out

Oh and quick updates I forgot to mention before. I have played more Nightreign. I have now completed 6/8 bosses pretty much all on Duchess. I did beat the crab/moth boss with Iron ye, just me trying out a new class but I didnt really like it that much. It was ok, but Duchess is just way better. What has surprised me is how much easier the Night lords have been compared to getting to them. Obviously this isnt the case for all of them. But like today my brother and I were doing Fissure in the Fog. We died to the Dancer on night 2 like 3 times I think... when we finally beat him we beat Fissure in the Fog first try. So far the hardest nightlord has easily been the darkdrift knight, but then that was also the second nightlord we fought as we totally ignored the recommended order so maybe we were just weaker then haha. But the last 2 are Equilibrious Beast and Night Aspect, haven't tried those yet.
EDIT: Just defeated the Equilibrious Beast! IT felt like such a bad run too, I didnt get any maddness or holy weapons and went into the 3rd night with my default starter weapon. I leveled it up to purple but was still the starter weapon. Then my brother and I get 1 shot at the same time when it has a sliver of health and as we are about to despair it dies to the poison my weapon inflicts. Pure Cinema ending on our second try xD Now for Night Aspect

And just wanted to mention I have seen the Chainsaw Man movie twice in cinema, I liked it alot ^.^ Hope you're keen ;p

Ive been watching a bunch of horror movies, can you give me anything else to go on and maybe I have seen it in my recent binge already ;) Was it a found footage movie? A recent one I liked was Arcadian being a Nic Cage movie from last year. Pretty generic plot but interesting new smart monsters. I prefer the intelligent scary monsters instead of the dumb hordes.
I really liked the Mist ending. Brutal endings like that can be a double edged sword but in this case I found it quite refreshing. In the book ending they find fuel and keep on driving so it is more of a safe bland ending. The Mist and The Thing have still been my 2 favourite movies of my current binge.

So I finished Dying Light and the DLC. Considering I knew that the beast exists (obviously), it made it pretty easy which ending I would go for. The mother giving me the option to self sacrifice sounds like the better ending honestly, but whenever the potential final antagonist is offering you an option, game logic dictates you always disagree with them. So that and I knew Kyle couldn’t die it made the final decision pretty easy. I definitely didn’t do everything in the game. I did all the important sounding side quests but I never like destroyed a volatile nest in the DLC. Glad to hear it sounds like you really enjoyed the beast. I look forward to it. But I actually have a lot of games on my list to get, so unfortunately in this case I am in fact waiting for sales. This is my steam wishlist Ghost of Yotei would also be there but it is a playstation exclusive. But yeah, I am not rich enough to buy all these, so Dying Light The Beast will have to wait till its more affordable for me.

I just feel guilty if I am evil in game ;_; Sometimes I do the evil option just to see it, then load and do the good option. The most evil I have been is in Baldur’s Gate 3 because one of the recruitable characters is into Evil Shit so in the end I was being evil only to impress a girl xD
I can see why core horror fans would be disappointed with 6. But I guess it just came out at the perfect time for me. Before I was even into horror games and my first entry in the series. I didn’t even know Ada Wong and Carla were two different people until I finished the entire game. I did Chris’s campaign first and thought Ada was a complete bitch. I hated her for wiping out Chris’s squad. And now she is one of my favourite characters of all time ^.^ I love that turn around (even though it turned out to not even be Ada that fucked over Chris).
I would not compare Subnautica to SOMA really, despite me not having played Subnautica. But from my understanding Subnautica is a survival and not really a horror but can end up being scary just cause the ocean is terrifying in general. SOMA is intended to be scary, but ultimately is more of a psychological horror than a jump scare one compared to like outlast or alien isolation (but does have plenty of jump scares still).

I had a few more sequels than I originally thought being Isekai Quartet and a Gintama spin off on top of OPM and SpyxFamily. But 4 shows is still a tiny season so I am using it to finish off what I didn’t finish from last season. Then I will watch ones I hadn’t started yet like Takopii and Fragrant Flower. So its good it’s a small season and Im not really looking for me, but if anything really stands out I will still watch it. I haven’t heard anything about any hidden gem shows yet though. You started any new series that aren’t seuqels this season?

You see I didn’t think there would be a season 2 and it would be an open ending with unsolved mysteries left to our imaginations. But my brother just finished watching it and got kinda obsessed with it haha. He apparently did a lot of research and is absolutely convinced it will get another season so who knows. He could just be coping, but he also looked into it more than me. It’s definitely a rewatchable show at least. I would watch it in the order you saw it and see if any of the answers we seek lie hidden. It would also be one of my favourite shows of the year. Idk if I like it more than Solo Leveling season 2. I just went through all the shows I watched this year ad the only ones that could really compete with it are Solo Leveling and Monogatari for me. Monogatari I am pretty biased towards though and Solo Leveling has had a previous season and Ive read it. So it being brand new does give it an edge and I would vote for it being anime of the year.

Yeah 2026 sounds insane. This season is definitely the calm before the storm. If you have any backlog shows watch them now, cause it doesn’t sound like we will get the chance next season xD

Just wanted to mention this quickly. But in the recent Trash Taste where they talking about Garnt's anime, Connor randomly drops that he played SOMA and how much him and Garnt love it. Completely came out of no where and its hilarious that they bring it up just after I did xD

Is the one you described one of those first person hand held footage movies? Cause it sounds a lot like the Blair Witch Project. Which funnily enough Im pretty sure inspired the Paranormal Activity movies. I haven’t seen all of them, I think I only watched the 3rd one. Don’t ask me why, I was a dumb highschool kid. But I did remember liking it. This phase of movies I watched Cloverfield to see if I was in a found footage mood and I just found it alright. But then 10 Cloverfield Lane was amazing which isn’t found footage.
Since my last comment my favourite movie besides the Thing has been the Mist. Apparently the ending for it was notorious according to my siblings and friends but I didn’t have it spoiled so that is awesome. I loved the movie.

Oh you are right there, games are stupid expensive. But it is probably my favourite pass time so what can you do. I definitely get more than 3 to 4, but I also don’t get everything. And thankfully some are cheaper or come on xbox gamepass. Like one I played was Hellblade 2 where I bought gamepass, played the game in a week and refunded gamepass. I thought it would force me to have gamepass for that month which still would have let me play the game for cheaper. But It just completely refunded me so I played it for free. Gamepass is pretty damn good.
Dying Light the progress bar says I am 47% done, I just entered the new zone… Sector 0 I think it said. For a while I was getting frustrated cause I felt super weak, going up against enemies with guns when I can only melee was rough. But finally I got some guns thank the lord. There was a public event where my kicks were super charged and sent everything flying and I honestly loved that… kinda sad its gone now. I have not even attempted to fight a volatile yet, all I have done is run at night xD The mission where you had to steal tissue from the green boys was just a hit and run, I was not fucking with no volatiles. I guess now that I have guns though >.>

I find it so hard to just not pick the nice answers in games. Even in the virtual space I have to please ppl, I couldn’t do your Slytherin run. I have only ever been evil once, and that was my second time playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and that’s because I was playing with friends that made it easier to be evil.
Resident Evil 6 was my first and I absolutely loved it. 4 different campaigns with enjoyable characters and the fighting mechanics were unlike any game I had played before. Having played resident evil games since then, I can see why fans of earlier games would be disappointed with how different it is. That is if you had a certain expectation, me not having any loved the shit outta 6 ^.^ One of my favourite action games. So I like 6, 7 and 2 remake for completely different reasons and that’s kinda why it’s one of the best series. It’s not a Call of Duty or FIFA where every new iteration is the same. The fact they have variety is awesome.
Im surprised you compared Marvel Rivals to Fortnite and not Overwatch. Cause its 100% an Overwatch Hero shooter just with marvel characters. And it includes tonnes of marvel characters I had never heard of before that I got interested in and looked up the lore for. It’s done pretty well in reigniting my marvel passion.
Fire Emblem and Persona are tactical turn based strategy games so you gotta be in a specific mood to enjoy them. They are definitely not for everyone, but I think if ever you were bored outta your mind Gears and Mass Effect are right up your alley.
SOMA is a phenomenal horror game. It is not the scariest, Alien Isolation and Outlast I think are scarier games. But it is still pretty horrifying being based at the bottom of the ocean with some freaks of nature and it has just the best story. Never has a game given me an existential crisis as much as SOMA has. If you have wanna score some brownie points with your friend you should totally get him to play it.

I still haven’t watched Takopii, I intend to binge it when I have caught up on everything which I almost have. I skipped the TTaste talk on it so I wouldn’t have spoilers. I hear about the depression a lot, but what I am hoping is it at least has a satisfying ending. Do you think it at least has a decent ending or am I gonna be miserable. Next season is actually looking very quite for me so I expect to watch Takopii soon.
Now that I look at it, next season is actually insanely quite for me. Unless there is a new show that I dont know about now (which happens alot so I wouldn't be surprised). But right now I only have One punch Man and Spy x Family next season. Coming from this season where I had like 15, next season I only have 2?!?!

The last episode of To Be Hero X I have been like saving cause I am worried haha. I have loved this anime but I have no idea how the hell this could end in 1 episode. Unless it is gonna set up for another season. But I feel like so much still needs to be done. How did you feel about the ending? I will have watched it by the time you respond. But I feel like some characters needed more episodes like Queen and X, while some like this Dragon Boy and Dog were less necessary. Idk maybe they were necessary but then I need more episodes for EVERYONE.
EDIT: Having watched the finale I am lost for words haha. I cant tell if they are setting up for a season 2 or going with a climactic ambiguous ending. Honestly I would be happy either way. I kinda respect how they build it up to the tournament and stop, but then I would also be hyped af to continue. Like why Lin Ling was getting visions before Moon's assassination. Why Moon even got assassinated. What happened between new E-Soul and his love interest after he became corrupted. What kind of relationship did Ghostblade have with his daughter after she realised he was her father. And btw in the opening there is like this Cowboy and girl hero duo, did we never see them or am I tripping?!?! So many questions >.< And so is the 'theme' I guess that little aspects of each arc influenced the other heroes? Like was it implying that the airplane crash was caused by the Cyclone guy in Little Johnny's story. And after that crash with Luck Cian, her luck is what started X being OP haha. I would definitely like to see more from this, but then again it may be a totally different experience watching it in the order that you did. I still think some heroes need more screen time like Lin Ling, Queen and X. I cant believe we never came back to Lin Ling. After Moon got shot I thought we would come back to that lik 3/4 through the season but nope. Still don't really think the dog was necessary, just fan service for pet lovers (Im sure I would get hate for that opinion xD ). The pet lovers can already have Big Johnny, we didnt need Ahu aswell

Yeah cant say any real flame is being ignited for me to go see Iron Heart. I haven’t seen a marvel show in quite a while tbh besides Daredevil Born Again. And Iron Heart doesn’t sound like an exception. Mephisto does sound cool, maybe Ill have to look stuff up about him to not miss much. Until your comment all I have really known about Dying Light is Parkour + Zombies. And that night time is a lot harder. So I guess my biggest question was does it still hold up today being 10 years old, which by the way you describe it it does. I didn’t know it was a choice dependant game which is usually a plus. I only really hesitated on it cause of the age and zombie story lines becoming stale but I am tempted to play it honestly. Right now I have just finished Wuchang, the newest Souls Like and I am looking for another game to play. This may just be it. Id assume its cheap if its 10 years old…. Id hope so. Idk about Stay Human though. Ill cross that bridge when I come to it.

Im glad to hear the duo in Nightreign at least sounds balanced. Ofc though my brother has started uni again whom is the more likely to be available between himself and my friend. So I still have made 0 Nightreign progress between now and when I last commented ;_; It’s insane to think that I am such a massive soul’s fan that I play all the big releases and Elden Ring is my favourite of the genre…. Yet I am so behind on Nightreign. Multiplayer ruins everything >.< Despite the fact that I would love to play it with people. Ohhhhhhhhhh the contradictions.

Hey now, I said ‘LIKE’ the 3x3 xD I am well aware it is 11, but its hard to make 10 like visually appealing. If you think about it a 3x3 is weird cause who wants a top 9. You want 10, but then what kind of shape can you create.
I did not realise you played so much Legacy, 1 of each house is impressive. There wasn’t much difference right besides 1 or 2 missions, or am I wrong. Like I know Hufflepuff goes to Azkaban cause that’s what I picked. So the other houses woulda had something unique, was there much differences outside that 1 mission? Mods do make other playthroughs pretty fun. I don’t really know what Hogwarts Legacy mods are out there but I am having a lot of fun with Baldurs Gate 3 mods. This is the first game I have really played modded cause I am more of a console gamer. And it might be my most replayed game because of mods and its just a really good game.
Is Resident Evil 2 remake considered the best? It is definitely my personal favourite. But Resident Evil 7, 6 and 4 are still close contenders for me. But 2 remake does snag the victory, I love that game so much.
The only Pokemon game I have played is Pearl actually. I played all of Pearl on the Nintendo 3DS and loved it. But when I heard Pokemon was like CoD and that each new one was pretty similar I didn’t bother with any others. Now that they are throwing some variety in there I would probably still like it but I just have so many games Pokemon has dropped below my radar.
Spiderman 2, yep I don’t have much to add besides I like it a lot. I just like what I have on my list more.
I personally never got into Minecraft. I was just never a fan of those do what ever you want games. I like freedom, but I also like direction and a story line. Again to use Baldur’s Gate as an example to the ‘freedom’ I like. I get there is some sort of goal in Minecraft. But the general appeal is still just to do absolutely anything you feel like and I would prefer to play a solo story based campaign then a free roam creative game.
If I were to include multiplayer games Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was a big part of my life in highschool. Im not a big CoD fan, I don’t buy every release but every now and then I will give one a try on Xbox gamepass. But MW2 was easily my favourite and I spent a lot of my highschool life on that game. And of course League of Legends would be the soul game I have spent the most amount of my life on. That is a devil you sell you soul too and I don’t think more needs to be said on that. The newest addition o my multiplayer life though is Marvel Rivals. Which occurs to me I haven’t brought up before and is Marvel related. Do you play any hero shooters? Know anything about Marvel Rivals? Im actually getting a decent amount of Marvel lore from this game. I am a Psylocke and Magik main whom have not had a lot of TV and Movie fame so I am still learning about Marvel through games. Maybe this will make up for me kinda dropping a lot of the TV shows haha.
But yeah, those 11 games are pretty solidly in there and I doubt will change much. But I also thought the exact same thing until I played Clair Obscur Expedition 33 so who knows what the future will hold.

I am curious to know if my favourites are well known or unique enough to not be renowned by everyone. I think the most under the radar game in my favourites is SOMA but I am not actually sure. SOMA is an amazing horror game btw.

Actually marathoning chapters is an ability I wont say I have lost, but I am far less versed in. I did used to love binge reading, but I haven’t read a chunk of chapters in a long period of time. Now I more just keep up to date with what I am already reading…. Unless its like Berserk like I said before, slow releasing series Im just gonna wait till they end.

I will say I think not watching Clevatess is the biggest shame. Of the shows I am watching, To Be Hero X and Clevatess I think are what I am enjoying most atm. So while I like the anime more than the manga for some like Dress Up Darling and Call of the Night, I am still kinda less excited for them cause Ive read them (no shade for these sequels though they are great, especially Grand Blue I am so happy to be reminded why this is one of my favourite manga). But Clevatess I am enjoying a lot, I don’t think I need to convince you though cause it sounds like you have a time issue rather than a interest issue. Ill just leave this here, if you have more time than you thought, Clevatess is my favourite new series this season.

I noticed you started Takopii. I still indend to watch that, all I have heard is its really good but incredibly depressing. Is that how you have found it?

For the To Be Hero X conversation, I gotta say that entrance by Queen in the latest episode was so fucking cool. Having the 4 individuals all fighting at once and having her come in like that was just so god damn cool. Makes me sadder that she had the shortest arc with only 2 episodes.
So with the Nice and Esoul timeline I did not actually realise they were so much earlier than the rest. And in saying this I don’t actually know if E-Soul is earlier. I did not really get the timeline difference until you mentioned it. That could have actually been super helpful watching it the way you did. Cause even right now you say this is the original Nice, but which E-Soul is it? It doesn’t look buff enough to be the original E-Soul, but it isn’t acting noble like the new E-Soul. Has the new E-Soul lost his chivalry or is this the old E-Soul without the muscles. And you say in the Nice arc it hints to events that have been happening throughout the series but I haven’t picked up on them at all xD Clearly the series has been released this way for rewatching purposes to pick up on stuff you didn’t realise the original time… but you have beat the system ;P I will either have to rewatch this once it is done or read about these subtle hints that I have missed.
I will say the only thing I haven’t liked about To Be Hero X is the stalking by Ghostblade. And not the stalking itself, I totally get it as a mute father, but more him not dispelling the rumours and everyone elses reaction to it. I get Ghostblade maybe wanting to keep the fact he is the father hidden from his daughter, but he could have prevented the misunderstandings with messages on his phone or paper or something. Not only was him not stopped the allegations annoying, but how everyone reacted except Loli too. Considering they did think a VIOLENT MIDDLE AGED MAN was stalking a defenceless teenage girl and were like ‘yeah man go get her.’ That was an insane reaction. Like without him defending himself. And then everyone being like ‘nah he is just misunderstood’ when the first time we saw the ‘stalker’ he was literally trying to kill Loli…… Thankfully this wasn’t a big part of the show, but the whole stalker part of the story I think was held extremely poorly. Ghostblade not defending himself to at the very least Loli’s dad, and then everyone except Loli supporting the stalker were both just insane plot points to me. Besides this very small nit pick though, To Be Hero X is still my favourite airing show (with Clevatess and Grand Blue not far behind).
