Synopsis

Considered a genius due to having the highest grades in the country, Miyuki Shirogane leads the prestigious Shuchiin Academy's student council as its president, working alongside the beautiful and wealthy vice president Kaguya Shinomiya. The two are often regarded as the perfect couple by students despite them not being in any sort of romantic relationship.

However, the truth is that after spending so much time together, the two have developed feelings for one another; unfortunately, neither is willing to confess, as doing so would be a sign of weakness. With their pride as elite students on the line, Miyuki and Kaguya embark on a quest to do whatever is necessary to get a confession out of the other. Through their daily antics, the battle of love begins!

One of the best novels I've ever read.

After watching the anime Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, I simply couldn't wait for a sequel. As soon as I finished the anime, I went straight to the Kaguya-sama: Love Is War manga because I needed to know how the story continued. It's the kind of work that grips you so much that waiting for new episodes or seasons seems impossible.

What impresses me most about this work is how well-constructed it is. Even though it has an extremely comedic base, the true focus has always been the romance, and when the story decides to develop this aspect, it does ...

Mixed Feelings
The initial appeal of Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen was a funny romcom with great humour, and an interesting premise. I really loved the premise, which was to make the students try to make each other confess. I loved it. However, that was only until chapter 130 or so, the manga took a drama stage. Instead of continuing the relationship, it takes a big dive into garbage writing. The initial appeal had disappeared, and what I had been reading was filled with boring old rom com drama. If it had continued the humorous and romantic relationships, then I would've given Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: ...

Preliminary (Unknown/281 eps)
They say timing matters, we're in the age of continuous social media exposure, and the internet is at an all-time high and that's what made Kaguya Sama stand out.
BUT !!
The plot is your typical hate-to-love cynical story, from the beginning chapters it's visible that Kaguya Sama is inspired by 𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗞𝗢𝗜 at multiple stages including the basic theme of using love as a tug of war and influence.
The humour is bland most of the time.

In short, Kaguya Sama lacks genuineness and originality.
Overall, One shouldn't go by the hype and the herd.
Kaguya sama is an average read.

Now it depends if you're a newcomer or you haven't seen ...
