Chanto Suenai Kyuuketsuki-chan

In the city of Kashinokidai, where humans coexist with other beings, one individual stands out even among this diversity. Transfer student Luna Ishikawa, a vampire with a cool and mysterious aura, captivates her classmates and gains instant popularity.

Tatsuta Ootori, an otherwise unremarkable boy, believes that Ishikawa is far beyond his reach. However, when the two are paired for cleaning duty, Ootori discovers that beneath Luna's composed exterior lies an ironic secret. She cannot properly suck blood, forcing her to eat snacks to hide her weakness—but no amount ever seems to satisfy her.

Determined to help Luna master the very skill that defines her kind, Tatsuta offers himself as her practice partner. Through trial, error, and multiple bandages, their unassuming high school days take on a peculiar warmth—one where Luna no longer needs to act flawlessly and can simply be her natural, adorably awkward self.

Li'l miss vampire that can't suck well, while the title may be humorous to some...it is genuinely a VERY good anime for its genre and what it offers!

Its mainly a lighthearted SoL that sometimes leans into a little bit of romance...but it only implies it and goes straight back to the lighthearted joy, and the vampire girl is also incredibly adorable and cute! the way that the creator made it so that she doesnt even realize when she just regresses into a chibi baby and is sort of just a second nature thing is also smart, since it also puts up potential for little sort ... of tangible "what ifs" for a character that could turn into a chibi one in cute situations, and not just a one off OVA.

And unlike most other SoL (even cgdct) anime, it surprisingly has NO mono-no-aware, or that melancholy like it is in non-non biyori, no shade to non-non but its definitely....an acquired taste, much like this anime, or say even k-on that injects a little bit of melancholy in it aswell, but this anime stayed strong and happy throughout all the episodes, its almost akin to kiniro mosaic, where you bite into every episode with a gush of sugar.

I feel like for me, its the best lighthearted, just an absolute sweet puckering and an easily digestable show for anyone that appreciates and loves cuteness etc.

It also utilizes the trope of a "maternal figure" with a twist, wont get too in depth for what it is...or it would spoil it,

And please, dont come watching this show expecting some grand action or plot where she uses vampire abilities to conjure up some unique action plot....its a comedy and cute first anime.

TL;DR, its a really good show all round IN its genre, if you loved kiniro mosaic, onimai, or yuyushiki, for how cute and lighthearted it was.

Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right

well this is the sort of story that doesn't make sense and can't be relatable to anyone but here it is a comedy show where a vampire can't suck blood right ! ... the concept is kinda " bland " lke there might not be many/any shows of this catagory but tbh ig no one would have asked for a show like this , I mean yeah sure u can enjoy the show every episode has a fun part when the vampire turns small into a chibi character and sucks blood making everyone dote on her , u might say ... that alot of shows have no sene yet people enjoy the shows alot but let me ask a question : Between " Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right " and any other anime " something maybe u are readin rn and hasn't animated yet or something which has just got 1 season and no sequel announced " what would u prefer now? this over some other " better potential " show or this where u might feel the laugh but a cringe feeling remains ?

Chanto Suenai Kyuuketsuki-chan (Li'l Miss Vampire Can't Suck Right). Fear not, "Li'l Miss Vampire," your anime does, in fact, suck. It starts off as a semi-interesting concept; I expected a funny show about a vampire learning to suck blood. What I got instead was a story about an insecure vampire girl turning into a baby to suck blood from her simp classmate, who dubbed himself her "mama." This anime is basically a show about glorified breastfeeding and is unwatchable in the moments when that is the main focus. This, as the title might tell you, is precisely what the show is about. Thus, for the ... most part, it is awful. Other times, it is just the normal school-setting anime we all know and love.

If I haven't made the premise clear yet, the show follows Luna, a vampire who lacks the ability to suck blood correctly and recruits her classmate Ootori for training. Naturally, much of the show revolves around her learning to suck blood from his arm. What makes this unbearable, however, is that she literally turns into a chibi baby to do so. Let me repeat myself: a literal baby. Or at least she acts and looks like one, so there's not really a difference. This was fine the first three times but became obnoxious as the show went on. It got really repetitive and sometimes felt like I was trapped in an endless loop of chibi-vampire blood-sucking. I know a lot of people found it cute; I didn't.

However, as the show reached its final four or five episodes, the focus slowly shifted from blood-sucking to a normal school-life anime, so it did become an okay watch by the end. Still, it didn't really make up for the pain it caused me before that. The early episodes are split into two short stories/chapters, making for a quick and easy watch, and the end, when things stopped being horrible, went by quite quickly. All in all, this is a story ruined by its main premise. Also, I almost forgot: it is supposed to be a comedy, which it fails at.

The characters are also completely uninteresting. Luna is the only one with a hint of depth, in that she is actually insecure and seems to have thoughts. Ootori, the other lead, has not a single thought in his mind; his only defining trait is that he, for some reason, likes having his blood sucked by Luna. The other side characters, Sakuma and Kusunoki, are only there as auxiliary "mamas" alongside Ootori. There honestly isn't much more to say about the characters here. They are just plain cardboard cutouts. I'm not expecting perfectly written characters for a comedy anime, but they are so devoid of personality that they aren't even likable.

The art, much like the story, has its moments. I actually really like the normal character designs, such as Luna's normal form, Sakuma, Shirayuri, and Misuzu. The backgrounds and the animation itself weren't bad either. It’s just that the characters who are the main focus are the literal only exceptions to this standard. It honestly feels taunting. Ootori, the character with the most screentime, has no mouth. His literal character design is just two eyes on a head. There's nothing interesting about his look, and while I get that's what they were going for, they could have at least made him bearable to look at. Then there's the annoying chibi. You've probably gotten a clear picture of what I think about that, so I'll move along.

What did keep a high standard throughout the show, however, was the voice acting and the OST. The soundtrack was high-quality and helped boost the atmosphere of the few good scenes this anime had. I'll give it props for that. Sadly, a soundtrack alone can't save a sinking ship. I was also really happy with the voice acting. Luna's performance maintained a high standard throughout, as did Sakuma’s and Kusunoki’s. While I’m personally not a fan of Ootori's voice actor, he did do a good job of portraying the character.

Now, if it isn't obvious already, I didn't like this show. It ended on an okay note, so I doubt it'll leave a sour taste, but as I said, that doesn't make up for how unwatchable it was at points. I think this is the type of show that you either love for being "cute and light-hearted" or absolutely despise. Having the lead turn into a baby all the time was extremely off-putting for me. Couple that with a lack of substance, and you have yourself a bad anime.

In conclusion, Chanto Suenai Kyuuketsuki-chan is a bad show purely because of what makes it unique. I wouldn't watch this again, and I don't recommend it to anyone else. I doubt I'll remember it, and I don't plan on checking out the manga or an eventual sequel. The only reason I gave this a 4 rating is because of the OST and semi-good art. Otherwise, there is literally nothing in this for me.
