Veronika Gnilitska

Platform Engineer

Veronika Gnilitska

Platform Engineer

Veronika is a platform engineer from Ukraine. With a background in Release Engineering, she found herself drawn towards implementing the DevOps mindset years ago, and now strives for building exceptional cloud solutions and constantly improving her efforts in the field. In her free time, she can usually be found traveling around the world or playing piano.

I’m currently based in Kyiv, navigating what we often refer to as “war-life balance”. In these challenging times, work and regular sports activities have become essential pillars of stability for me. I find solace in spending quality time with my family, close friends, and beloved pets - Fitz the cat and Icy the dog.

I’m deeply committed to supporting organizations that resonate with my values. This includes wildlife rehabilitation centers, such as the Ukrainian Bat Rehabilitation Center in Kharkiv, which has rescued over 25,500 bats and is the largest bat research facility in Eastern Europe. I also support various animal shelters and volunteer foundations dedicated to assisting Ukrainian warriors and medics, both on the battlefield and those who have transitioned to veteran status.

Since 2012, I’ve been a regular blood donor. Although health issues have recently put this on hold, I’m eager to resume this vital activity.

While travel isn’t a frequent part of my life these days, I’m incredibly excited about the upcoming Masterpoint offsite meeting this summer, as this will be the first time I meet my amazing team in person!

Weston Platter

Platform + Site Reliability Engineer

Weston is a Platform and Site Reliability Engineer. Having spent a decade building software and "quant" data pipelines, he's now focused on shipping infrastructure, reducing friction for teams, and ensuring everyone feels empowered to deploy to prod. Outside of work, you'll find him planting fruit trees and calculating 2nd order option greeks.

This recent season of life has been about growth and transitions. Since starting at Masterpoint full-time in December, I’ve really enjoyed the transition to working on multiple client projects and moving quickly alongside the talented Masterpoint team. I feel like it’s a return to my small team/startup roots that I had as a new Ruby on Rails developer 10+ years ago. I appreciate how quickly we can move to start using Cursor, the AI vendors, and get company time to play around with agents frameworks & MCPs.

My wife is finishing up grad school to become a licensed personal therapist and graduates in August. We’ve enjoyed many dinner table conversations delving into counseling theories and practice, and my favorite topic by far is Internal Family Systems (IFS). Having learned over the last 3 years what it takes to hold space for others, I have more respect for those who professionally step into that role for others.

Outside of work, I try to keep up with a couple of fruit trees (apricot, peach, and plum), a strawberry patch, and a small garden I’m about to kick off. I love taking a break to check out the garden and see life teaming up all on its own. It’s refreshing in the midst of working on human derived systems & software to see a bunch of plants come alive all on their own.

Platform Engineer

Yangci Ou

Platform Engineer

Yangci (Yang) is a platform engineer from Philadelphia, PA. He finds great fulfillment in leveraging technology to tackle complex challenges across diverse technical domains and turning ambiguous problems into scalable, well-operated systems. Outside of work, he enjoys going on adventures, exploring new areas, skating, and playing racket sports like badminton.

Lately I’ve been learning to dance with what life brings. Staying present and finding joy in the moment, even as things get busier.

I’m also channeling my curiosity and adventurous streak into growth by diving deeper into technologies where it interests me most, while also making time for experiences with friends and family. I’m prioritizing better time management so I can keep doing both. Time management has become a big priority so I can keep growing without missing the moments that matter.

Along the way, I’ve been turning that curiosity into momentum by earning several certifications (and continuing to learn for more), including:

For fun, you’ll usually find me playing badminton, tennis, or pickleball. I love the casual, social side of sports and the chance to have a good time with the people around me is always a plus.

Outside of work, I’ve also been interested into being more hands-on and self-sufficient in everyday life. I’ve been treating practical things that pop up like mini-adventures, learning and troubleshooting as I go. Recently that’s looked like doing my own oil changes, replacing a car battery, installing a new ceiling fan, and working with sink plumbing. It’s been great as I’ve found a lot of fulfillment in picking up a new skill each time.
