Biological Invasions is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on the patterns and processes of biological invasions in terrestrial, freshwater, and marine (including brackish) ecosystems.

  • Publishes research and synthesis papers.
  • Welcomes special papers such as Alien Floras and Faunas, Elton Reviews, Flashpoints, and Invasion Notes.
  • Features scholarly papers on management and policy issues related to conservation programs and control of invasions.
  • Will consider proposals for special issues resulting from conferences or workshops on invasions.
  • Charges no publication fees unless opting for open access.
