Remote sensing, data visualization, and research programming

Welcome to my site!

It is an archive of selected work mostly related to my time with the Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing in Ecology (LARSE) and the Environmental Monitoring, Analysis, and Process Recognition Lab (eMapR) at Oregon State University.

The theme of my work and professional interest is to make data easier to collect, use, and interpret. I have a penchant for organization and an affinity for visualization and aesthetics. I love writing code. It provides a creative outlet and yields practical, reproducible solutions to repetitive or unique problems. The majority of my work experience is writing scripts to wrangle data, automate workflows, and make figures and maps. My research background has fostered in me creativity and innovation, as well as a desire to continue learning and expanding my knowledge in all challenges and subjects that pique my interest.

Outside of writing code, I like playing guitar, trout fishing, and adventures.
