Clicking an input while a popup is open should set the focus to the input #706

Bug description

When I open a popup and then click into an input the popup closes but the focus from the input is also lost. I think it would improve UX if selecting the input wouldn't need two clicks (especially since clicking into the input shows the cursor for a split second).

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to reproduction project linked above
2. Click on 'click me"
3. Click into the input field

Expected behavior

Cursor should stay in the input once the popup is closed.
